I am Disabled myself..I have a Bachelors Degree in History Education from the University of Southern Mississippi..if you know Football..That is the same SCHOOL Brett Favre played at..in fact..we live in the same area..he is about 20 miles from me..I am disbaled because I took my son Hunting 17 years ago and it turned out to be a VERY BAD DAY for me..he accidently shot me with a shotgun at close range..almost blew my right leg clean off..all total I have had 16 operations on my legs to save and repeair them..thats not a typo..I said 16..

I was  an accounting assistant, and studied alot with Excel, I got familiar with the formulas, still learning alot with excel.  However I have'nt yielded enough to make a living as of yet.  I have in the past made enough to take care of alot of bills on a regular basis.

I have one of the most interesting jobs in the world.

I work for a small, extremely prestigious private liberal arts college. More specifically, I work in their development department. For those who don't know what development is, it roughly deals with fundraising, philanthropy, gift planning, and some money management. All in all, we are responsible for raising funds for a nonprofit organization that receives no money from the government; most of this money is from alumni. And our alumni are extremely successful.

But I'm bragging here. What I am is a Research Analyst. What I do is research and create financial profiles on our alumni and create estimations based on their giving capabilities. I've done quite a few celebrities (a lot of our alumni got their fortunes in the arts) and some well-known businessmen. What I do is a whole bunch of "financial stalking" but everything is legal. You'd be extremely surprised what can be found about anyone on the Internet and other channels.

I really like my job but I am in the process of working towards moving up. I'm working toward my MBA and I plan on getting another master's degree in economics afterward. I plan on staying in the higher education sector, hopefully in the finance department.

lotterybraker, so sorry to hear about the hardship you've been through. That is an awful lot of operations. I hope that they are in the past

I am happy to see you involved here because it could have gone the other way. Some people close themselves off after things happen and

they don't quite get over them...especially something as life changing as what you've been through. Good for you and us too!
