When my mom passed last year, I became in charge of her little, fancy, dog. The dogs name is Paris, but mom always called her per-per (pair- pair pronunciation) but if you say it fast enough, it sounds like Pepper, So she,.... (the little dog) responds to both Paris and Pepper So in a way, I too, have a dog named Pepper.

I notice alot of interesting user name on the lottery. My name is pepper1 not because I'm spice, I had a dog name pepper that I loved 30 year ago that how I remember her. I just love the name i see on here. When I was in high school the owner of a local grocery store always called me Margaret (nowhere close to my name) even though he knew my name and we attended the same church. He told me several times that he thought I should go to Nursing School and even offered to help me financially. I'm not tough enough to be a nurse...... I can faint at the sight of an ingrown toenail and actually did once. Also during an inservice class at work the language became a bit too graphic and it was "lights out" for me. Living in the south, my favorite tree is the magnolia.... love those sweet magnolia blossoms (so fragrant and delicate). Now I had two words (Margaret and magnolia). Moments later I decided on Maggie-Nolia. Maggie-Nolia....what did that remind me of? Then it hit me.... Shari Lewis (ventriloquist and puppeteer in the fifties and sixties) and her puppets Lamb Chop, Hush Puppy, and Charlie Horse. My sons and I enjoyed her shows all those years ago.
