UPDATE:

Well Minnessota WON,   and my combined total points were 47

I  WON THE  FOOTBALL  POT THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!   I only had ONE loss, and my points were Good.

     $760  DOLLARS    WWWwwwoooooooooooo!!!!!!

It's Pizza for lunch for everyone in the office today!!!

Interesting, that reminds me of years ago when we used to have a football playoff pool at work. We'd also have baseball playoff pools, Nascar and others. There was no strategy, you just picked a team or driver out of a hat and if they won you won the pot.

Everything was fine until the boss heard about it and he wanted to get in on the action. This surprised everybody because he had the reputation of being a tightwad pennypincher of legendary status. Well, his participation brought about the eventual demise of our sports pools.

Every Time he was in the pool he would win. It never failed. It didn't matter what pool it was, he always drew the winning team or driver out of the hat.

And he never  treated anybody to anything after he won either as everybody else did previously. He would just smile and put the cash in his wallet. This guy must have had a horseshoe stuck somewhere because he never lost.

Well after about 5 or 6 straight wins, everybody started to lose interest in the pool if he was going to be in it and it just faded away.

I always wanted to ask him for some numbers for the lottery but didn't because I knew I would just get a lecture on how dumb it was to play the lottery. This guy was a multi-millionaire from his business but I bet he would have made even more on the lottery with the kind of luck he had.

Outside of a new Cadillac every few years he didn't live any better than any of his employees. Small modest house on a tiny lot with neighbors right up against him. He just liked putting it in the bank, I guess.  His kids are now living large on what he left behind though.

      tiggs! I agree with you.

Generosity is important. It's not how much you give but that you are willing to freely give with no strings attached or bad feelings about

it. I suspect that his kids inherited the same selfishness and miserly ways. Or hey, it could be possible they went in the opposite direction.

        tiggs and dr65,

The two kids are loaded. They hate each other. They are now running the business into the ground seeing who can steal the most from it.

What a waste of everything he devoted his life too.

He's probably spinning in his grave.

Don't mean to be a know it all but age does this to someone..I'd rather be a winner in life then a winner in money if I had my choice but I'm old and young people can't understand this..To bad about the guys kid's..He really did lose in life the way his kid's turned out..I do hope he is resting in peace?..
