The standard way to read it is left to right;chosing 1 number group from each row, however, there are some who read it every which way.  I once had a guy to tell me that he just looks to see if his number is in there.  He reads corners, middles , everything.  he is one of the few that i heard from.  he won at least $20,000.00 on one hit because he saw his number.  He has workout and compares what he has to the puzzle which is the way I do it also.
