Which Lotto System includes the StdDev statistics of each sigle #s?Previous TopicNext Topic

Hi, All:

Where can I find the Standard Deviation of sigle #s (for example, #1,#2,...#49 and their StdDev of occurrences after each drawing) in statistics in the current Lotto Software? Thanks.

Most give you enough information to calculate it on a scientific calculator.

Pretty sure Gigamillions does this.  Also Expert Lotto might.  Just google either one for the link.

In Gigamillions go to menu item   Calc  and select statistics.

This info is available in the free version I think.

Also you can import the draws into excel and go to

Tools --->Data Analysis and select descriptive statistics

Thanks for your reply! But I'm still not clear your means. If can I get the statistics information about StdDev of each lotto #s by using a general scientific calculator by myself? Or can I get it in some where?

For example, there are 575757 full tickets in any 5/39 lotto game, I want to know their StdDev of occurrences for each #s from #1 to #39 after each drawing. How can do that by using a general scientific calculator? Thanks.

But I'm pretty sure Expert Lotto has not yet the statistics information even there are a lot of statistics data in the software, and Gigamillions neither too. Thanks.

I assumed you knew what information you need to calculate the Std Dev for each number and most lottery programs will give you the number of times a number has hit in a period of time and the numbers of draws between those hits.  Once you calculate the Std Dev for each number you'll only have to recalculate the five in the latest drawing to stay updated.  While there are 575757 possible combinations in a 5/39 game there are still only 39 numbers.  Using the average draws between hits may be close enough and is a lot easier to figure.  Good luck to you.

The standard deviation is a measure of how spread out your data is!

The steps are:
1. Compute the mean for the data set.
2. Compute the deviation by subtracting the mean from each value.
3. Square each individual deviation.
4. Add up the squared deviations.
5. Divide by one less than the sample size.
6. Take the square root.
