GOD talks to everyone. But most of us are too busy to hear/listen. And the last thing any of us like to hear is NO so we have a tendancy to not hear.

Remember when the tsunami hit a few years ago? I heard many reports about how the animals disappeared only to be found further inland alive and well. And it is because of this a lot of people were not caught in the flood waters because they were tracking their errant livestock.

And before you negative nellies say that GOD does not speak to animals here is your reference so you can read it for yourself in black and white print.  Numbers 22:21 to 34. Not only did GOD talk to the azz HE allowed the animal to see what the rider could not see and GOD opened the azz's mouth and allowed him to talk!!

Notre Dame (Our Lady) is a heavy-duty Catholic university and there have been plenty of jokes about God being on their side.

In fact, there once was a movie, John Goldfarb Please Come Home" about an American pilot that got lost and landed in Saudi Arabia. An Arabian prince had always had a dream of rasining an Arab football team to play against Notre Dame.

So, the Notre Dame team flies to Arabia to get the pilot released. There's a scene in the movie where the Arab team is praying, and on of the Nottre Dame players says, "What are they doing, He's on our side, we're Notre Dame."

Cheer, cheer for old Notre Dame....

Would we be heathens if we took the numbers from the Biblical references in this thread and turned them into some Pick 6 or Pick 5 + 1 tickets? Just a thought.

Seriously though, maybe to pray for a jackpot requires praying for a Boaz blessing. (Kind of a pay it forward thing, in advance).

(GAMBLING IS A SIN) This statement is incorrect no where in the bible does it mention anything about gambling in fact too the best of my knowledge no modern form of gambling existed back then and another thing many religious folks don't realise is the word lottery comes from the word lot used in the bible.The "casting of lots" was basically wanting divine intervention regarding a situation,question or problem leaving the outcome up too chance or the will of there GOD. The casting of lots eventually evolved into games of chance and gambling LOT became LOTTERY so how can gambling of any kind whether it's bingo,lottery,raffles (many churches have raffles and bingo) or casino be sinful?? it's all games of chance and people play hoping that things will go in there favor and make them a winner there is nothing wrong with that at all.The bible is used by many folks too try and show how certain things in life are sin or against GOD this isn't true study for yourself before believing anything claimed too be from the bible.

(GOD decides the outcome of every drawing.)This is also incorrect GOD has more important things too do than get involved with stuff created by man especially sporst betting and all other forms of gambling if GOD decided the outcome then aer we too assume he also decides the winners??? if so then what about all the people who won that didn't need the money?? doctors,lawyers,business owners and previous lottery winners.More people from "middle income and upper income" backgrounds win the lottery compared too  those that REALLY need it low income,government assistance,homeless,poverty stricken.LOTTERY games are strickly man-made and GOD does not interefere with them he has no reason too we play for fun,too get rich or as an obsession/addiction. If GOD was really involved then everyone that played would win and we wouldn't have any losers if GOD loves us all equally he would be fair about it and have everyone win.

i dont think God decides the outcome of every drawing but i also dont believe God has "MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO"....God created time, he created the universe to God, time moves slower and God can travel in time [remember IT/HE/SHE/HESHE/HESHEIT referring to God here said that 1 day is like 1,000 years and 1,000 years is like 1 day, i picture God as a bright light like a star but brighter that you couldn't see otherise you die, despite that God said lets do man to our image i believe God has infinate images that he can look like]...There are things that God can do that we cant imagine, God can make a women be stronger than a man, he can make an insect talk and use the computer....Dont you think that God can raise every human who has died, HE/SHE/IT is GOD he sure can why He doesnt do it? because i think he wants to teach the Devil a lesson he wants to teach the Devil that there is no path without God...I also believe the Devil is a Force not an actual beign...

 let me explain what I meant,with all the craziness going on in the world today and religious folks claiming that GOD has helped them with there own specific problem,tragedy or misfortune what is more important then helping people with serious problems in there life?? that's more important than GOD messing around with Lottery games

I don't know what this has too do with the lottery but anyway I don't think GOD allowing people too suffer and die is teaching anyone anything especially the devil since he is supposedly against GOD he doesn't care about the path he doesn't care what religion or the bible says.So it's not teaching this devil being anything if it was he would have reaslised by now how pointless his actions are.

I never said i had the answer if i did i would have won the jackpot. Just speaking on what i think using my freedom of speech.

When the lottery first started in Ga it was call Georgia Lotto the 6 number there was a lady that won, who said that she read her bible every night. She read that night and decide to play the verse that she read, and guess what she won. If my sister-in-law father-in-law can play the number from mama family and won cash5 anything is possible.

I'm thinking I should just pray that others players will lose. That gives me a much better chance of having my prayers answered.

I don't want to be rich.  I just want to not be in the red.

That is why I don't understand the not winning and letting the pots rollover.

HEAVEN doesn't discriminate the rich are allowed too enter just as easily as the poor look at all the RICH christian churches in america escpecially catholic and evangelical.A lot of your evangelical preachers seen on TV got MONEY in the bank and are always talking about FINANCIAL gain and blessings from tithing.

A coffee at Starbucks costs 6 dollars.  a ticket is one dollar.

The coffee makes you feel good for a few minutes.

The ticket until the drawing.

Both end up in the toilet.

Humans need food to live.  By buying that coffee, you're feeding your body. 

Lottery is like cigarettes, if you're lucky, you'll live long with no problems at all; that's your jackpot.

So think about which one is blessed.....

Since eating is mandatory in life, it's our responsibliilty as humans to eat in moderation and exercise.  You pray that people will take care of their bodies and live long and healthy life.  You also pray that people will save money and become less addicted to the lottery.

So if you're praying to win, you might as well pray to cigarette smokers.

I totally agree with your last line. Jackpots should be smaller with more people winning. One person does not need 200 million dollars. Why not let 400 people win a half a million dollars or even 200 people win a million dollars. That isn't rich, by far, in today's economy after taxes but would be a nice nest egg for most. But the lure of those triple digit millions is what gets people to buy more tickets.
