The New York State Lottery is running a promotion in the store where I buy my lottery tickets today 11/22/09. Besides winning a six pack cooler I asked them about New Yorks participation in selling Powerball here. Their answer is, that they hope to start selling Powerball in February of next year. So I'm taking them at their word since I explained to them that I'd be going to Jersey (which will be selling Powerball) or Connecticut (which already does and where I go now) to continue to buy my Powerball tickets. So all you New Yorkers hang in there and hope the horse is truthfull.
