I was just wondering about that because at one time Ohio wouldn't let us Play for Christmas, How do you feel about playing a number when it is Christmas or on Sundays? Give me some input?

I know here in TX we play rain-sleet-snow-ice-holidays-2nd coming of Christ-u name it we're having our designated drawings. I just hate that TX only does lottery 6 days a week and not seven. But then we were instructed to rest on the sabbath....................AmenBig Grin Angel

Well did you play today? I played but i am better off calling numbers instead of playing the number. I get a thrill out of seeing what State they will fall in. Plus I save money. I't fun just to see where the number fall! Because it doesn't cost me anything. And I hope L.P members are cashing in with my numbers,Embarassed because I haven't yet.

I remember at one point Ohio did not do Sunday drawings either. Ohio started Sunday and Christmas drawings in 2007.

I post winning numbers on the Georgia and Virginia on the Pick-3 numbers, and stuff like how many times the numbers have won in the past, when they last won, etc. Virginia started doing Sunday drawings on January 7, 2007 and Georgia started doing midday Sunday drawings on April 19, 2009. So if the number last won on a Sunday in Virginia, I also tell them the last time the number came up on a day that was not a Sunday. I kind of like the 13-drawings-a-week system. It makes Sunday winning numbers seem more special in a way. But I only like it provided my birthday doesn't fall on a Sunday!

Today's winning 3-ball is going to be a number between 000 and 999.

In a lot of states, lotteries benefit education. That makes the REAL winners the only people who can't play!

Having no Sunday or Christmas day drawings was a compromise when Ohio began their lottery. There always was a bit of hypocrisy because players could buy scratch-offs any day of the year.

When other state lotteries began adding Sunday drawings, Ohio had more conservative Governors and state houses so the necessary legislation was never enacted. It wasn't until 2006 when a less conservative Governor and state house where elected that the lottery could add Sunday drawings, daily Keno games, and slot machines at race tracks. In November the Ohio voters passed casino gambling so "the times, they are a changing".

Do you know how many or if any state lottery headquarters are open for business on Sunday?

I never saw Thou Shalt Not Play Lottery On Sunday in the ten commandments marcie, so I play it. LOL

TN plays P3 and P4 only once a day on Sundays but I play the Cash5 in VA seven days a week twice a day.

TN does play on Christmas but I rarely if ever play here except for Powerball
