First, I didn't have a ticket, so I didn't almost win anything. If I'd had a ticket with my usual Powerball numbers, I would have matched three and won $7 (I actually won $7 Tuesday in Mega Millions). I use two sets of numbers, which include 4, 22, 26, 31, and 53 (winning numbers are 4 - 22 - 26 - 31 - 52 Powerball: 30). Although neither of my sets includes 4, 22, 26, and 31 together, those are all "my numbers," in my two sets. Those would have been worth $100.
After I saw that, I realized that every number drawn was either a match or one less than one of mine. Of course, 52 being next to 53 in a number line doesn't mean that the 53 was almost drawn, or would have been if 52 hadn't gotten there first, and the same for 31 and 30, but it's still neat to see each of the numbers drawn match or be close to one of mine.
