Illibnois has a $1 Win $500 A Week for Life and $2 Win $1,000 A Week for Life scratcher.

I'm just wondering how the taxes would work for anyone who won that. Taken out every week? Taken out at the end of the year when filing? Anyone know? If you ever win a jackpot are you going to remain anonymous (if possible) or wish that you did?

Thanks. I just spotted the typo in the title, it should be $500 / $1000 a week. On the website there's a $2500 a week ticket, too, for $5 but we haven't seen those down here yet (I'm far south of Chicago). Also, the promo says, "The longer you live the more you'll get". I'm thinking that's just hype as such things usually go into someone's estate, but knowing our present governor....... If you ever win a jackpot are you going to remain anonymous (if possible) or wish that you did?

I don't what the tax deductions are them or how they do that... But I can tell you that all 3 of them tickets have a cash option on them that you can take rather than $ 500 a week, 1000 a week or 2500 a week for life. The only one I know for sure is on the $1,000 a week for life and that is $762,000 you can take.....
