For every dollar that a lottery player spends, how much money would a vendor get?

It really all depends. With Powerball & Mega Millions games they tend to get a set amount (bonus) if a Jackpot ticket is sold at their store. In Florida, for scratch offs, retailers dont get anything if they sell a Top Prize ticket.

I have heard though, during special promotions, the lottery commision will offer a special incentive for certain tickets for the retailers. For example, when the $20 Game in FL called "Billion Dollar Blockbuster" was released, retailers were paid $1 for every ticket sold. I have also heard from a retailer here that I see many times per week, that the FL lottery gives them 1% of all ticket sales on scratch offs.  Im sure it varies by state

I know of a way to find out what type of incentives retailers get in FL and for what games, but that won't help for your state =)

Is that all? That seems to be peanuts ... I know you might sell thousands of tickets, but still, it is far away from the average retail commissions.

        I always play random numbers

In the State of New York, I've heard retailers get 6 cents per ticket sold.

Winning a Jackpot - unlikely but POSSIBLE!
