Hey guys, I'm posting this poll to see if it is beneficial to buy a book of tickets, whether they be $1, $2, $5, etc.

Do you usually come out ahead, just break even, or even lose a hundred or two?

"Typically" the average return is around 40-60%, however there are "hot" rolls out there where people have a sizeable return. It is just the luck of the draw.

Dont buy the $1 or $2 rolls its a waste of money

If you end up with a 'hot' roll you could have numerous thousand dollar winners in 1 roll, or even 5 $500 winners, its possible in Fla but not so sure on other states.

I wish I had the money to buy a whole roll... Because I would buy a whole roll of Red Hot 200's.... Which to me is the best game in Illinois right now......

Thanks for the tip cool dude, I might buy 10 or 12 or those red hots today, hopefully I can get lucky again with the instant games today. I went COLD yesterday on the instants in a hurry, every one lost!!

I haven't bought a book in three years due to I mainly would only get back 55% of what I spent.

2006: Bought NY $1 book (250 tickets, although I only bought 224 of it and 26 others): Biggest winner was $40; got back about $178, I think.

2007: Bought PA $1 book (300 tickets): Biggest winner was $27, smh; got back prolly $160ish...

2007: Bought NY $2 book (250 tickets): Biggest winner was $50; got back $317 or $318.

2007: Bought PA $2 book (150 tickets): Biggest winner was $40; got back about $150, I think.

2008: Bought PA $3 book (100 tickets): Biggest winner was $40; got back about $150, I think.

Who knows, I may try tha $5 book once I get a job. But, I know I'll win back 55% of what I spent...

I wouldnt buy any more rolls from NY. once I make it up to PA im getting a roll of Mega Multiplier and Diamond Millionaire might go to PA in couple months.

Ok, well I decided that I am going to go in and buy a full book of the $5 IL Wheel of Fortune tickets tomorrow. Wish me luck, I will post my results as soon as I am done scratching off the tickets. I have never bought this many tickets at once but its either this or the stock market and the stock market is not a viable place to put all your money into anymore!

Ok, I changed my mind on buying the IL WOF book of tickets. I just have not had any luck with them and don't trust them so what I am going to do is buy a book of the new $2 Red Hot tickets and post my results later tonight hopefully! I did talk to one of the sellers at my work and he said he has seen a $1000 winner for the Wheel of Fortune ticket. I just have a feeling that they are holding back on the winners on that ticket because of the second chance drawing you know?

The other reason I want to hold off on buying the WOF book is I was checking my budget and I can't be spending that much money if I am only going to get 20% of it back which is what I have a feeling will happen if I buy the WOF book.

For my birthday in May, I got a roll of Lucky Cherry Slots ($5 game). Got $205 back out of $300. Biggest win was $50. I'd love to get a roll of a $20 game, but just can't come close to affording it right now. Can't even get another $300 roll.

So far I am down, but I have a good feeling about this second half of the tickets, especially with the last 6 numbers being all losses in a row!

Also, I know this isn't the Pick 3 forum, but I also bought a $1 IL Straight/Box today for 0 5 6 and it came up!!

I will try to scratch the rest of the tickets tomorrow and post by Wed the remaining results from my first book purchase ever. I might just get one more if I get something decent... Good luck everyone!
