Don't get hung up on what drawing the number comes from.

You are simply using the last 6 unique (no repeats) digits played in that game.  They might show up in two drawings or it may take five drawings to find the last six digits played.

Example:

Last four results of IL pick 3 eve game

700

746

711

The last six unique digits that played are 4, 5, 6, 0, 7, 1

Did a backtest for NM and it works .  Had a box hit.

In one test I ended up short with only 5 digits. Should I just fill it in with any number or use one of the repeats?

somer, you would go back to the 4th draw, 5th or how many draws it takes to get your sixth digit.  Don't worry about how many draws you're using. I have to go back 4-5 draws a lot of the time.

You could also just play your five numbers (6-0-1-3-9) like so: 639-039-139.  Using 5 digits for your sequence gives just three combos to play for the budget minded.  Heck, I only play the first combo most of the time.
