We know the $200.00 option is not up there, but we ran out of selectable places. If you won $200.00, just select $100.00 and state you've won multiple $100.00's. Presented 'AS IS' and for Entertainment Purposes Only. Use at your own risk. Any gain or loss is your responsibility.

I won $4 last night. I was looking at a Powerplay payout chart and noticing how much less of the Powerplay money players seem to be getting since the change. Before the change players got about half back. Since then, it's about a third. The time has been short and the sample size small, but it's a noticeable change. I suspect that the Powerplay money will start to even out when we start getting $2,000,000 winners. I could complain about the biggest benefits under the change going to the winners at the top, but the reason I play is because I hope to be one of the winners at the top, so I'll keep quiet.
As for my $4 win, I matched the Powerball and one other number. Under the previous system, I would have won $4 on a $1 ticket, and on a $2 ticket at least $8, and as much as $20. This was like paying for Powerplay and getting a multiplier of 0. I really think it should have been worth at least $8, and the Powerball only should be worth at least $6, but I guess we have to pay for those new million-dollar prizes somehow. Speaking of million-dollar winners, the promotions said that there were more chances to win $1,000,000, but this isn't really true. The odds of matching 5+0 are the same, since the field is the same size. The odds of a million-dollar win with a $2 ticket are exactly the same as before. There will be more million dollar winners, but that doesn't equal more "chances" to be one. You had just as many chances to win $1,000,000 with a $2 ticket before the change. (You may actually have fewer chances now, since it's a little harder not to match the Powerball number, but the alternative is to win the jackpot, so I wouldn't complain about that).
I'm really not meaning to complain. I do like the different price point and different structure, since Powerball really was just another Mega Millions when it came to Texas. The change gives more variety. I guess an $8 win isn't that much better than a $4 win, but I still think my win should have been worth more than an equivalent win with a $1 ticket. I like having a different game, but I think it should have been structured differently somehow.

$0.... But thats typically what I win on PB. Since I play the Powerplay, its $3 times 5 numbers, mainly $0 in return. "But maybe one day......" lol

i think most would say zero, i won $4, but spent $15 getting it, i ticked the $4 box. if i accounted for losses id never win a thing In other games where where the odds against winning something is much smaller, players can cash in their winning tickets to lower the cost of the next play. If they spend $10 to "win" $5, they can get 10 tickets in the next drawing for $5. At that point they can say they spent $15 to get 20 chances to win a jackpot; a nice way to justify playing if justification is necessary. Looking at $2 lottery games in general, most have jackpots under $1 million with better secondary prizes so if huge payoffs are what players want, PB is the logical choice.

Against my better judgement I played the 1st night it changed - $15.00 worth. So spent $5 more than old way with the powerplay - HIT NOTHING. Have not played again. BUT now that its THIS high I think its time to jump back in.

Haven't won anything since the change. I won $8 just before the change on a $2 ticket. I have a feeling most of the people that said they quit playing because of the cost are starting to jump back in now that the jackpot is getting up there. I don't care what the jackpot is, I keep playing because whatever it may be, it's get out of debt/instant retirement if I win. To me, that's worth $2. CAN'T WIN IF YOU'RE NOT IN A DOLLAR AND A DREAM (OR $2)

Buy $10 powerball plays on the same ticket and get a free QP with the powerplay. Seems a bit odd to have a promotion less than a month after the matrix change. Maybe sales aren't all they had hoped?
