Anyone have experience in buying the entire roll?

Congrats to all the winners..I purchased another roll..lol this time I purchased a roll of $10 $200MillionSpectacular here in the city Beautiful(Orlando, Florida)..I puurchase this roll from the same store I purchased the Lucky $100k a year for life $10 tickets...anyway...this roll cost me $600 for 60 tickets thus it being a roll of $10 tickets..anyway..results below

000-$10; 001-$100; 002-$30; 003-$20; 008-$15; 0012-$20; 015-$10; 016-$10; 020-$100; 022-$10; 026-$20; 029-$20; 036-$10; 038-$15; 042-$15; 043-$20; 055-$10 for a total of $435 and a loss -$165......did I make a mistake in buying a roll from the same store..so far I have purchased 3 rolls 2 out of the three were from the same store which I at least got back half of my money..I purchased a roll from a store in Ocoee, Florida which is next to orlando the $20 roll of Gold rush triplers which I didnt even get half of my money back..buying 2 $10 ticket rolls I at least got over half my money back..ok you experts help me out please and thank you..maybe I will buy random tickets again instead of rolls or should I buy maybe the first ten or half of the roll thats already out if the roll is at the very beginning 000..I have been in some stores and they put the roll out but the ticket pull is in descending order mean it start at 59 58 57 so on and so forth..Im thinking..help please and thank you...I dont know how to load the pic up on here yet and I wont worry about learning until I at least hit $500 on a ticket...anyways..well wishes to all..Peace:)

You're not tha only one in that boat. Unfortunately, I had a lil' bit of that today, but only with a worse feeling than you!

As you can see, my biggest winner was only $50.00 ($50.00 for a "mild" winner?); I know tha big winner in this book was #013. Feels like tha worst feelin' in tha world...

I see it paid $250. I wouldnt be shocked if you only missed a $50 winner.. Maybe $100.. Most $20 rolls pay about $300 in PA. Mine was $285, so you might have only missed a $25/$30 winner. I wouldnt stress too much about it. I wouldnt be shocked if the store owner bought it though knowing you lost 8 in a row. I heard a story where a $20 roll paid back $320 in the first 15 tickets and the last 15 lost, so don't beat yourself up too bad about it . I would have worried if your 29 tickets only paid back $130 or so.

Last week, I bought 10 $2 tickets from the same roll for $20. I won $34 and a free ticket. Not too shabby I say.

I have never bought a roll and probly will never buy one! I prefer to jump from store to store to buy mine. Works better for me!

Manali, the roll has all the tickets. HA! Ok, that was my humor for the day... the real answer is: it depends. Here in Florida, some $20 games have 30 tickets per roll, for a total cost of $600.  Other $20 games have 50 tickets per roll, totaling $1,000....  I believe that all the $10 games have 60 tickets= $600 for the entire roll. I can't speak for the $5 games. But I know that the minumum for a $20 game is a $600 roll.  I personally LOVE buying whole rolls--although I've only bought ONE roll in the past 10 years-- a roll of Billion Dollar Blockbuster last year that kicked my A**....lost over half my money. Sometimes people get a HOT roll, though.........

I have never bought a whole roll but once I when on a ticket of 20 or more i move to another ticket. I usually watch people in the store buying tickets and if they buy say 5 in a row and look at them in the store and they dont win then I start buying that same ticket.

Do they allow you to buy a whole roll?  I never have hear that before.  Please let us know how it work out.

I tend to agree with you for two reasons. One, buying an entire roll, to me, is very similar to buying a ton of Mega Millions/Power Ball tickets. It just doesn't make financial sense, nor does it increase your overall odds of winning. Two, it's almost like greed and just trying too hard to win the big money. Like you, I've heard many stories of success by going from store to store purchasing different tickets.

During my last ticket venture, I did the same thing...and found $100. Very good strategy because every store and ticket roll is a completely different ball game.

Bought a roll of $5 Lucky for Life the other day...did horrible. Got back $110 dollars. last roll I'm buying and now I'm cutting back.

How is buying rolls of tickets almost like greed No one here is stealing the tickets, they're

purchasing them with their own money and makes financial sense to those who can afford it and are winning.

There is nothing similar in buying  rolls of scratch offs to buying a ton of MegaMillions and PowerBall.

...Anyway check the THREAD TITLE...I almost felt like I was being condemned for buying a roll of lottery tickets..but wait..LL...dude it's cool state your opinion..but maybe it wouldve been appreciated on an anti-gambling website...if one choose to buy 12 rolls a week its he or she business..."greed" no...it's fun, entertaining, and hey you may win big or small...that's the risk of gambling...if I buy a thousand quick picks for the powerball tomorrow night and I win $90 million...yippy for me...anyway I'm sure you know your "greed" comment was a little offensive yet an assumptive one..so all is well...im curious...how many tickets should I purchase in order for you not to consider me as an over indulgent greedy big win chaser...lol...just curious...I know I know..this is a thread to post ONES EXPERIENCES BUYING A ROLL OF SCRATCH OFFS...but since I seem to have been the last greedy person to buy a roll..lol...I would like for LL to answer that question..

Happy big win scratching to all...Im thinking about purchasing a roll of $200 millionaire spectacular, Florida Black, and I'm trying to decide if I am going to purchase a roll of Jubilee, GRT or 3million dollar monopoly...any suggestions let me know please..I plan to leave the Orlando area tomorrow for the purpose of hunting down a big win...not sure of my direction of travel yet...I may hit up the Rock in Tampa...i hate the casino..too much smoke!!!

Anyone want to share their experience of buying whole rolls in Georgia or preferences on which tickets to buy whole rolls? The main tickets I buy whole rolls of are the $20 tickets that have second chance drawings; the best I have did so far is $695 on Maximum Green, so a profit of $395. And the worst being $110 for a loss of $190.
