The POWERBALL rolled over from $80M to $94M (+$14M) last night.
The following was stated in the PB website questions and answers page.
"The minimum jumps will now be by at least $10 million each draw (up from $5 million in the old game)." HOW TO WIN THE LOTTERY BY NOT PLAYING=SAVE YOUR MONEY TO PLAY THE LOTTERY SOMEDAY.

Apparently they sold enough tics that it warranted a $14M increase. It doesn't matter to me. Either way I retire IF I win it. CAN'T WIN IF YOU'RE NOT IN A DOLLAR AND A DREAM (OR $2)

The PB folks are probably going to be stealing from their jackpot fund for a while though, because they probably had to dig in to their cash reserves last night to pay all those match 5+0 winners, especially the five $2 million PowerPlay winners, since only ~3 million players purchased the PowerPlay option for last nights draw.

Not to throw the subject off, but those match 5 winners included someone in NYC playing the same numbers twice. What luck. and make your last check bounce.

Thousands of people (probably on the very low side), dropped thousands and even tens of thousands of dollars, on that historic MM lottery! $32 represents a relatively small wager THRIFTY. Suppose you could have spent just $1 on a QP? Next time MM, or if PB should ever sky rocket to $500+ million then you can make amends!

That's exactly what I was thinking, I would have felt better spending $1 on it. I thought about buying 1QP, because I have not seen anybody winning $10k, $250k or the jackpot where I live.
Lottery players think that ny is a gold mine when it comes to winning jackpots, but I do not see the winnings spread out. Long island ny wins most of the jackpots. HOW TO WIN THE LOTTERY BY NOT PLAYING=SAVE YOUR MONEY TO PLAY THE LOTTERY SOMEDAY.

Would you keep spending $5 to $20 on a rolling jackpot? I can't do it repeatedly. HOW TO WIN THE LOTTERY BY NOT PLAYING=SAVE YOUR MONEY TO PLAY THE LOTTERY SOMEDAY.

...I think that as it grows, more and more and more people are going to jump in on it because it'll finally be worth playing, and, enough money for them to (try and) win. This is so amazing because when I saw this thread the only thing I could think of was the phrase I overheard a couple of weeks ago, "Yeah, I don't mess with the "low jackpots." They've got to get up there for me to play..." Obviously, $12million or so just won't help his bank account. Oh, well. To each their own and best of luck! L.L.
