  OK, we had a record breaking jackpot won by people in three states, two of those states allow remaining anonymous, and the people in those two states have claimed their jackpots.

  The remaining winner, from Illinois, a non-anonymous state has not.

  In Illinois, it's plastered on the terminal monitors where you buy your ticlets, "Illinois record winner, Red Bud....." No doubt they're dying to put a name on there.

  A female clerk where I buy tickets sometimes was talking about thos today and she said that when the lottereis came into being and they disclosed who the winners were people didn't have the internet and Google and Google Earth, etc......and thanks to all that the bad people out there track people down, make threats, etc.....

  She had some good points. We'd never get enough players to boycott the games in non-anonymous states, which are most of the lottery states, but something's got to give.

  Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners. 

  

  There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

  I wonder if the MM or PB was starting up today, if there would be more anonymous options, or mayhap something of that ilk written into the agreements before states were allowed to join; simply BECAUSE of all the tech-y invasive possiblities that are available today... 

  At somepoint some idiot will get killed from all the press simply because they were not allowed the option of anonymity and the state or the MM/PB itself will get embroiled in a lawsuit that will go federal.  That will be a sad - yet interesting legal battle to read about.
