Your last post I could find was on October 24, 2012, 04:26:19 AM, you were removed November 25th or 26th.
You quit the pool twice and made it known that you thought that we could not win at playing the big games.
Anyone with similar opinions should also leave. How can you contribute to a cause you think is a waste of
time. I am still lost trying to figure out what the big deal is.
That is still my opinion and I stick by it. That your wasting your time with the Big Games. Yes I do understand that the cost per player is reduced.
I will not ask again about re-joining the Lottoguys Forum. I'll post some screenshots for the NJ540 DM Multi Stage program from earlier 2012 that you created for me. BTW the Multi Stage was a great addition to the DM program. I'll start a new thread where members here at LP are interested in picking the Min/Max Stage settings. If we can get 10 Multi Stage settings correct we win the Jackpot.

Steve, not sure that a lock is warranted. It might be better to make a concerted effort to ignore jim-bamboozle. All the old regs know he's a troll shark.
At the scent of a two sided discussion he injects his "read this" links, yet he admits to knowing nothing about what is being discussed.
How many times has he said, "No I haven't looked at the program, I haven't considered anything you said worth reading, I won't click your links, but here's a link you should read?"
How much credence do you give him? Personally, I roll my eyes and chuckle. Most of us do. If he is only here to bash lottery, the players, and the systems, why is he here at all?
It's the same as a vegan going to a steakhouse and complaining about the menu.
I've been out of the loop on another project, but I'm disappointed to see you and RL have had a difference of opinion. You two work very well together. Big shocker to hear this.
You bring up a good point about pool play. And that is many participants just want to toss in a few bucks and be done with it. You've read the same thing in many threads right here. Admittedly, I'd be one of them. I have a tendency to spread myself too thin to be able to keep up with all my obligations.
I also agree with using DM to beat the smaller state games. A smaller win means a smaller pool, but it offers the possibility of more wins since there are more draws. Of course, the objective of this particular pool was the larger games and the players knew that going in.

Yes, I'm happy to be back and finally have some time to work on lottery.

"I've been out of the loop on another project..." Oh, I see.
What an honor! All I have to do is show up here, suggest an alternative view, and voila: semir-retirees come out of the woodwork to get in their licks! Isn't it interesting how the attacks on me so clearly avoid dealing in any way with the mathematics pointed to in my links?
Since there doesn't appear to be much interest in probability theory in this thread, have a look at THIS lottery:

Personally I think it doesn't matter much if you play 5/56 or 5/39, yes the odd are higher in the 5/56 game but at the end it doesn't really matter
because DM program deal with values attributed to a filter, for example if you take DE filter it range from 0:4 for MM and exactly the same 0:4 for 5/39
same for MD = 0:5 for MM and 0:5 for 3/39 and so on for most of the filters, so here it doesn't matter about how many combinations there is,
it's just that after the selection is made, the amount of sets will be 6.63 % more, so I'm for playing the MM instead of the 5/39.
Like RL said this would set us for life but not the 5/39.
Frenchie.
RL,
Nothing wrong with your thinking. I'm interested in what everybody is thinking. I do understand the idea of 17 people splitting a small jackpot. Texas Cash 5 is pari-mutuel. Jackposts have been decreasing, running average of $23,000 for a single winner. A win like that split 17 ways would net each person about $852.35.
Frenchie,
That is a fair point. But the front digit in 5/39 game can only be be 0 - 3, whereas the front digit in 5/56 can be between 0 - 5. As you say, that increases the sets you play and the amount you spend.
On the other hand, if I can get lower odds, spend less to play, win 4 $250,000 jackpots a year at Cash 5, I'd make $2million which would allow me to spend more on the big jackpot games.
There is no wrong answer. It depends on the boat you choose to paddle.
G

Each of the 40 stages has a possible range of 0 to 5 which give a 1 in 6 chance for selecting a value
0-1-2-3-4-5. So the odds for one stage is 1 in 6 Let say that you need 10 to 15 stages to reduce to
a playable amount. Two stages gives odds of 1 in 36 and 3 stages is 1 in 216.
4 stages = 1 in 1296
5 stages = 1 in 7776
6 stages = 1 in 46,656
7 stages = 1 in 279,936
8 stages = 1 in 1,679,616
Setting 8 stages correct has greater odds than picking 5 numbers from 40 for the NJ 5-40 game. The
history for the multi stage is reset each game because it is based on the previous draw. While the
40 stages have a value that repeats from time to time you still face the ones that change 2 or 3 values
up or down. Picking the correct 10 from 40 to actualy play gives odds of 1 in 847,660,528. You cannot
change the odds for the game but you can increase yours depending on what you choose to play. This
is why I choose Digits and groups as the base for DM and the filters are second. A 4 group setup gives
odds of 1 in 210 and selecting lets say 6 digits to go along with it gives odds of 1 in 210. 210x210=
1 in 44,100 for a exact digit and group setup. The odds are better for a TG=4 ID-6 setup in DM than they
are for selecting 6 stages in the multi-g tool that I built. I just ran a TG=5 ID=6 setup for my 5-39 and
it returned 8 lines. The groups have two choices 0-1, or W-P and the lower value for the Digits are the
same 0 or 1, the upper value does not matter. I have explained this several times but thought I would
give it one more shot. You have had the Multi-stage tool for a couple years, how many times have you
hit a 5of5 using it and don't forget that if you miss even one value then you could be left with a 2 of 5 or
even less. We may not be hurting the lottery with all our winnings but it's not costing much to play either.
I will however give you one last bit of advice, find something and stick with it. Changing programs every
other day is not a good way to play. Find something that works a little then improve upon it.

I heard that you didn't like my being on the forum and not a paying member. It's ok by me, though hard to understand.
You asked me to send you DM for my games and I did never asking a question what you needed it for though they were good for Poland's games only. You wrote you wanted to see how I went about picking values. I never hid it from anyone. A lot of practicing and experimenting. Anyone can do same or better. You wonder how come I did a bit better than other guys using the program. It's pretty simple. I've been over 2 years with DM. I never took up any other software and used DM only.

In one of the previous posts I said I won't be mentioning Lottoguys forum but you just added flame to a fire that I thought was extinguished.
Please don't bring up Lottoguys or anything releated to DM OK. It's over!!
Did you get booted off too? Sorry to hear that.
I had no problem with you being a Lottoguys forum member. It just seemed like a double standard after I was removed.
The rules need to be changed. If you were from the US I wonder if you would be allowed to be a member? Hmm
The rules from what I understand are the following:
All Lottoguys members must be paying members. Period.
If this is not the case it should be changed to:
"All Lottoguys Members must be paying members but if you are a professional Digit Master user with at least 2-3 years experience and live outside of the continental US and have no intentions of traveling to the US to play the Mega Millions or Powerball sets generated by the Digit Master program then you will be permitted to post at the Lottoguys forum."

Good morning jimmy. I hate it when you're right. But I admit you are right. And thanks for the new word. Semi-retired.
That is what I am. I normally tell people I'm retired, but nobody ever retires. Even at my advanced, crippled, disabled, mentally challenged, flotsam age, I still have to pay bills, buy food, and do silly things like pay taxes.
Can you believe that? I'm expected to pay taxes just for living this long!!!! Who would have thunk it? The good news is I get senior citizen discounts on McDonald's coffee, an extra donut for being old, and hugs from the cute girls at the deli. Some places even offer me a motorized wheelchair free of charge and don't even charge when I run over the displays sending the cans of cranberry sauce flying. Sometimes I get a hug for that too.
Whew. I feel better knowing there is a definition for what I am.
The question I had was why not make 4 moon landing (small jackpots) before shooting for Mars (large jackpots). RL answered that by explaining the number of players in the pool precludes that as a profitable idea.
As far as my other project, FINDING BIGFOOT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!!

I'm not surprised that Ayn Rand is your inspiration, and that you view selfishness as a virtue. Yes, you're free to be selfish within the laxities of the law to use your computer skills to dazzle people who don't possess these skills. You are free to give them false hope that if they follow you, they will have a better chance than others to win the lottery. And since you recently announced that you've got a new program in the pipeline that will NOT be free, no one will be able to cry foul when it is announced.
As for my pointing people to the work of others, I'm comfortable that most people here are familiar with the concept of "reinventing the wheel," and won't judge me as you do for avoiding that waste of energy whenever possible. They can also find many examples of my original work here, writing programs to back-test and simulate Pick-3 systems, statistically analyzing the picks of MadDog's Powerball participants, etc, if they are interested. If they investigate, they will also find many more examples of crass, mindless, low brow, and juvenile attacks on me, of which your post quoted above is typical.

What a load of crap, You are a disciple of the abomination generation. You want everything without working for it.
You possess the same mentality as the slave owners of the 18th, 19th centuries. You feel that you have the right
to the take from others that which you have no claim to. From your insistence that it's foolishness to pick ones own
numbers in favor of a QP. I have provided a means that if used correctly can improve a persons play, I have showed
you many times what those advantages are but everytime I do you side step the issue and then come up with some
other excuse to draw what I have said off target or insert your assumptions to the point of changing the information
to meet your own selfishness. You can hide behind links that redirect to the works of others while you yourself claim
some sort of enlightenment, What a boat load of crap. You idolize crony capitalist like the big banks and wall street.
These people are on the take 24-7 looking for ways to steal more money from the average person. These are the people
you want to be like, the ones that take billions and leave nothing behind but a bunch of empty pockets. These are
the bottom feeding maggots and you want to be one. You say that I am selfish but I think you are a little more than
confused here. I don't remember you giving anything here but the works of others as if it somehow makes you smell
better, let me tell you now you still stink, stinkey. Let me give you a lesion for free. Lets take LP as an example. Todd
started this website so that interested people who love playing the lottery could have a place to discuss ideas. I doubt
you have much insight into what it takes to maintain a site like this. Lets say that by his knowledge and skill he builds a
super site and after many years of hard work his efforts pay off and it makes him more than just a living. You are one of
those people who would like see no problem with helping yourself to the fruits of his labors. Tax him more for being successful,
take from people like him who built this country. Who is the selfish one now, What a boatload of crap you spew. The US was
started as a place where one could prosper according to their abilities and it's the governments job to protect me while doing
whatever it is that I choose to do. As long as what I do does not prevent another person from doing what they want to do.
All the hard working capitalist that built this country are now being stabbed in the back by people who were either too lazy or did
not plan for anything. Don't think I am only trashing the current administration as I hate both parties with equal enthusiasm.
Everything you stand for I hate, so it's no small thing that I hate you. You may hate people like me because we make
people like you feel inadequate but it's not my fault you chose you own direction. You hate the capitalist but love the
crony capitalist. The difference between the two is that one builds wealth and the other steal wealth. One works hard
for what they acquire while the other does nothing. One builds roads, bridges, cities, etc.. and the other tries to prosper
off these works without doing anything. Who is selfish, I view you as a greedy, sell your own mother if you had the chance
kind of guy. Let me give you another little example of how I view you, you moron. Lets say that I by using my intellect
to come up with a new data compression technique which is ten times more efficient than any current methods. I go to the
ISP's and cut a deal that allows them to use my new method for all data transfers which amounts to a 10x speend increase
for them and I only charge .1 cent for every TB of data they transfer. I give the software to all the browser developers
and the end product is that the end user gets a 10x speed increase with very little or no cost increase. The ISP's boast of their
new super fast download times which draws in more customers, the customers are happy because they don't have to wait
on the download so everyone is happy, happy happy. I have provided a service that has enhanced the lifes of everyone who
uses it and all is fine until one day I find out that now many of these same people who enjoyed the fruits of my labors now
hate me because I am successful. Now they want the government to raise my taxes just because I am successful, what's
wrong here. Who are the selfish people here. Next thing I know the government wants to place a new regulation that is
designed to punish me for using my head. Are you stupid or what, take a look in the mirror and tell who is looking back at
you. I have gave and gave and gave here at LP for free and never charged a cent for any of it. What do I get in return,
thrashings from worthless people like you who don't have anything invested whatsoever. Let's say that I did go with my P-3
program and as I mentioned it would be released with the disclaimer "if it does not pay for it's self then its free" You would
somehow still feel the need to trash it because that's the type of person you are. You have never accomplished anything so
you try to tear down others. On second thought I will keep my P-3 program to myself and not say another word about it. Not
going to happen people so don't look for it. Dam! that felt good, maybe I will take up selfishness it sure takes a load off by
not having to do anything. I have spoke my peace, now you will no doubt post a bunch of links to others peoples works to
try to save face. I have nailed you down so that everyone will have no doubts about why I hate you and your kind. When
your kids are starving after the welfare runs out and no one will loan the US any more money for the social security checks
because there are no more capitalist to tax then don't say I did not warn you. As for me and mine, well, John Galt just sent me
a PM.
By all.....................

I am suprised that nobody answered that preposterous post. If putting in hundreds of hours of one's own time into making a software and giving it away for free is selfishness then I would like all the mankind to be that selfish and even more so.
Living for many years in a country under the socialist or communist regime( you name it) I have seen more than enough people who said that they worked not for their own sake, but for others. That they served others and worked to satisfy their needs. That mentality brought about poverty and greateast harm to all those countries where it held.
Never believe people who say so, they simply want to steal from others and live off their hard work. Trust only those who honestly say that they work for themselves and want to make money. In most cases these are the people you can trust, depend on and be friends with. Also the same " selfish" persons are more eager to give. And they do it for themselves.

Anyone entering this thread is given two choices Teamjimmyor TeamRL. There is no middle ground. Steve may be right. It likely is time to lock this one. There is nothing worthwhile coming out of it, no new input, and no feasible way to move it back on track.
Play it out to the very last post on the very last page. The logical endpoints are:
1) No matter how much attention this drama generates for TeamRL, it's all negative. Until it produces a jackpot, Teamjimmy wins and heknows this.
Every wheel system and program depends on one thing: someone making the right decisions. A person who wheels numbers looks at the idea of so many filters and says, "All I have to do is pick a few numbers and make a wheel and my chances are the same."
2) No matter what TeamRL says, Teamjimmy trumps it by saying, "This is the same thing you've said for years and yet, you haven't produced a single jackpot on any level. Show us the ticket."
Programs are rated by wins; not by claims. People come here with claims and get responses like "Until you win, it's all smoke," "The proof is in the pudding, and "Prove it."
Rethinking the issue of giving and lending: If I give you something, it is yours without reservation. On the other hand, if I lend a thing, or make it available to you, I have the right to set limits on it. In that light DM was not given, but was made available and was tracked without the knowledge or consent of the parties who had possession of it. As a person who has/was/is spied on/tracked from birth by government, how do you feel about a private party doing the same without your consent?
Now that I know this, it certainly changes my outlook on the trust issue. My copies of DM were in a computer that wasn't connected to the net, but that doesn't change the intent. If you wouldn't want the government tracking you, I can't see how you would want a private party doing the same. And I don't, so I won't install the new version.
In any case, where something can be taken back, it is not given.
So Teamjimmy wins on his point of downloading/installing items from the internet.
Final thought is: I don't see this ending well for RL.

I'm probably here unless I'm not.
Dreaming would be a perfectly useless function if it's only purpose was to entertain.
