Claim lottery winnings using middle name

hi everyone, 

does anyone know if it's legal to claim lottery winnings using your middle name? I mean when you show your identification such as a license at the lottery office it will have your middle name on there so your not really lying to them. It is at least one of your names. what do you guys think?

My guess is they want your name just as it appears on your documents, birth cert. drivers lic. etc.

soon dna will probably be required to verify you are who you say you are.  maybe they will imbed lottery tix with tracking strips that activate once the winning combination is drawn...  then the bearer instrument will let them know where the ticket is exactly, and if they up the anty some more, maybe even who the dna of the winner is.  but tix will have to cost more than 2$ for that nightmare.

I've cashed winnings over $600 in 5 different states and everyone of them asked for a photo ID and/or SS card. And every time they used my FULL NAME  from the ID. If you get a check from the lottery, it will be made out to the name on your ID. They will report the winnings to the IRS using that same name and SS number.

"It is at least one of your names."

That's true, but it doesn't apply when asked for your FULL NAME on a legal document.

"Make the check out to Bob".

Some banks require a thumb print so DNA or a barcode implanted chip isn't all that far fetched. We could scan our implanted barcode at the ticket scanners; "Sorry, you're a loser".

Do they ask if you've recently changed your name, say within the last 3 months? 

Seems like it would be easiest to just have each person have a chip or a code implanted in their hand or their forehead that could be scanned, doesn't it?

I was thinking the same thing ridge. At some point this will happen during our lifetime and many of us will have to take a stand.

If it's your middle name it's not the  only name you have, is it?

Without that mark, you won't buy anything. A lottery tic will be the last thing on your mind when that time comes.
