It seems the only way that lotteries can be won anymore is to be part of a pool. Individual players just don't stand a chance anymore. Should laws be passed stating that only one person can collect on a winning ticket?

Lottery pools are a choice, don't take it away from the people who want it.

It is not the pool that is either good or bad.. It is the people who are in the pool.

Should laws be passed stating that only one person can collect on a winning ticket? Where did you get that? At least one of the winners in the record Mega Millions jackpot was an individual. If you ever win a jackpot are you going to remain anonymous (if possible) or wish that you did?

Should laws be passed stating that only one person can collect on a winning ticket? In reality, pools seldom win compared to individuals. I'll never forget old whats-his-name...

In National Lottery, 1 in 4 of lottery jackpots are claimed by lottery syndicates. 75% are still claimed by individuals. But since lottery syndicate are made of several individuals, I guess more individuals Win in a lottery syndicate. In UK, all winnings can be collected only by one individual. It is up to that individual to distribute winnings n a lottery syndicate. Suspiciousness is one way of saying that one do not want to know the truth. I agree. In pool you have better chances of winning but you get less of winning share. I rather take less then have 0.00001% chance of winning it by myself.
