Simple. It was in the script, part of what they got paid for. Yeah, they get paid extra to go back to the trailer park.

I once played a role like that for Publishers Clearing House. They paid me $100 to open up a door at a "staged" house, and look real surprised.

I'm sure they didn't want people beating down the front door of your real house, looking for handouts after your big win. Btw, did you get any more "acting" gigs from it? When looking for winning #'s, keep your mind open as well as your eyes. Patterns are every where. The trick is to spot them before they change.

Extreme home maker filmed about a mile down the road a few years back. You made me laugh again after watching that poor family run out the front door acting surprised several times. (Until they got it right!)

Actually for several years (in real life) I had an agent in Boston, and did dozens of TV commercials, infomercials, and bit parts in movies such as "Glory" (1989). I was a spokes person for a hair replacement company based in NH called New England Associates, and Together dating service. Also had several small parts in an old Boston based P.I. series "Spencer for Hire" It was a blast, enjoyed all the "Cattle Call" auditions, met some real interesting people. Morgan Freeman, Matthew Broderick and Robert Urich. It paid great money, but as the old saying goes, don't quit your day job! And no, Publishers Clearing House never has called me back for other gigs.

Thanks Ronnie! It certainly helps to be a "ham", which I've always been since grade school. Funny thing is, I'm actually watching the movie Glory as we speak on AMC. There was a commercial break, thought I'd check LP for any interesting updates. Back to my , happy 4th!

It is interesting that the Illinois Lottery zooms in on the tv drawings so you only see the number come up at the top. They do not show the entire machines for the Pick 3 and Pick 4 games. They show the entire machines for the Lotto and Little Lotto (now called Lucky Day) but then zoom in once the numbers start coming out. Conspiracy? ILLotteryMan Signing Out
Major IL Lottery Winnings: 06/29/11 (784), 08/07/11 (678), 08/15/11 (056), 08/16/11 (759 Midday + 579 Evening), 08/22/11 (101), 08/26/11 (668), Instants: $50 Wheel of Fortune!

Someone must have leaked this "rumor" from within internal ranks. Wonder if this is the next step for a more proactive lottery system, to head off any attempt of players to remain anonymous?
