I'm guessing since the payout amount was more than twice the normal amounts when no one wins the jackpot, a lot of players played 1 2 3 4 5 and had those numbers won the jackpot would have been divided by more than a hundred winners, each getting less than a thousand dollars. * The fundamentals of winning a lottery jackpot *

It might be worth playing 19-34-35 along with some other numbers, because those three numbers showed that they are independent-minded and will not blindly follow patterns. It's also interesting that 3-4-5 seem to have no problem getting together in the hopper. Do you happen to know if there have been any other cases where 3-4-5 were in the mix together? i checked out the ohio website...was not too crazy about it...couldn't find a count on how many winners got 4/5 on July 4... would you know exactly? est modus in rebus --- Catch the Lightning! Ohio's website doesn't show those figures but it does show the payout amounts. Looks like the next one should be 01 02 04 05 X in about 4 years That X in 01 02 04 05 X could end up being 03. Your suggestion that 1 2 3 4 5 might be on a four year cycle where at least four of them will be drawn together might be worth looking into, could be other combinations have a similar cycle. If one knew which group of five was in cycle, they could improve their odds of winning. * The fundamentals of winning a lottery jackpot *
