I rarely buy scratchers, but when I do I 1st check the state website to see which ones have the most top prizes not yet won, however if someone bought the big winner, but has yet to scratch or claim it, can I rely on the site to know the ticket is no longer available ? I picked in store. Extraordinary Popular Delusions & the Madness of Crowds -- Charles Mackay LL.D.

That's why some games close with "unclaimed" prizes even though they sold the ticket.

I'm hoping someone work closely with the lottery business can confirm this, because I just bought a scratcher and the prize claimed changed instantly. That was a month ago and I still haven't scratch the ticket because I'm out of country right now.

I buy my tix. for the whole week on tues. Today on the way home from work i will buy a scratcher or 2 and watch if he scans the tix. after taking them from the display cabinet. Maybe this how they know what winners have been sold ? Extraordinary Popular Delusions & the Madness of Crowds -- Charles Mackay LL.D.

Guarantee he will understand! His eyes will light up like a Christmas tree, as he then prepares to scan the ticket, only to inform you it was a loser.
