going to disney next week, where is the closest store to get scratch offs?

I am staying on disney property, but I have read that the Hess stations there are not allowed to sell lotto tickets. Anyone know if thats true or where I can go to get some?

Yes, you are correct about the those gas stations on Disney property. They do not sell lotto tickets. Back in 2007, I was working for Disney and I use to go to the local Publix to get lotto tickets. Had some decent winners from what I remember.

how close is the nearest publix? is it walking distance from a park?

Hoops, I grew up in Orlando...  once you're in one of the parks--you're in. There's not really anything in walking distance from the parks themselves.... Let's say you are staying in one of the resorts on property, you'll need to get to the Crossroads area---I think shuttles run to Crossroads. Crossroads is off of SR 535 and has restaurants, shops, etc... and runs right into Downtown Disney. All you have to do is get to the Downtown Disney area, and you will find a few gas stations in that area. You really need to get off Disney property to do anything non-Disney.  S.R. 535 is a major road near Disney that has disney-related stores, etc... but is also near the real world.

Oh.  I looked and didn't see where he said Orlando.  There is a Disney here in California!!!

Thanks for the info. Sounds like my best bet is to bus to downtown Disney and look around from there.
