Just remember to be proactive in your health, if your not working out, eating sensibly and seeing your doc regularly, God cannot grant your wish

for excellent health.

Reminds me of the story of the woman who prayed everyday for a winning lottery ticket, yet never bought a ticket.

I truly belive in god he is always their for you

I would like to share a few example of how god has work in my life

I had 2 beautiful children my son and daughter they are my world,

shorty after my son was born he was diagnose with Muscular dystrophy and they told me that he would be in a wheel chair before he was 16 and would not live to be 21 he live to be 29

My beautiful daughter was hit by a car when she was younger and  was in a coma for 41/2 months,the doctors gave up hope saying that my daughter would be nothing but a vegetable

I met a wonderful man who I married we was together for a short 9 years before he died from cancer  I lost everything my home ,my job because I stay home to take care of my husband

you might asked why I still believe in god it's simple

My son live to be 29 and did not have to be in a wheel chair

I got to have my son 8 years longer than what the dictors said and I thank god!!

My daughter who doctors gave up on went back to high school and gradute

My daughter who disabled never gives up she never gives up and I thank god!!

And even now    she is having problems but I know this will pass too and I thank god!!

My second husband was a wonderful man who show me what true love was about

My husband was a kind gentle soul who taught me that love should not be cruel but kind and I thank god!

God is the beginning and the end  eveything else is just life

   Beautiful  story mrcoco  of how God works in our life and is always there for us....God is one person you can always count on being there for us all the time even when the chips are down.....he has worked in my life many a times and I will always have him in my life....my prayers are with you and everyone else who needs them....

Amen. It is like the sisters used to tell us (and I know how much McGinnin loves the nuns), if you choose not to study for  a test, you can't expect to ask God for an A.

I was beaten and bruised both physically and emotional by my dear sweet nuns. This all occurred when I attended a Catholic school from grades

2-4. God bless them however, they scared the living sh*t out of me, and taught me to never fear God, just the nuns who enforce all the rules.   

Thank You Rhonda for this tread in reading some of the stories it makes you thankful for what you have and know that things will get better. I love God and do not fear him, I know when I ask for help the answer is never no it just may be not right now. I just need to stop worrying and pay attention, I am in great need right now financically and 3 days this month the number God gave me last December came out,on those days I felt my need the most I now know that I need to slow down and hear from God instead of the fear.

Faith is not believing God can but knowing he will.

Joy-filled expectations...

God doesn't want us to live in the negative parts of our pasts. He wants us to live in the present because the present is a wonderful gift to us and it is full of all the promises that God has for us each new day.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for this lovely reminder to anticipate with joyful expectation the new things you have for me - in this moment and the coming days and years. Thank you for making a way for me as I journey with you into the positive possibilities of life.

Hi All

Not sure there is any one up there listening but I do believe that positive energy can be sent out that

will often help.   Winsum is going through some tough times so those that believe in this sort of thing

please mention him in your prayers.

 The God I experienced is quite mischievous one, at best. Sometimes I envy those atheists because they perceive that they have nothing to fear. I always pray to God to just let me win and leave me alone and torment some other people but me. I am serious.

I sent a prayer or two out for the big lottery win and when I went jogging a few weeks ago I found $5.00 on the side of the road. Me and the Mrs went to Dairy Queen, got the by one get second one for .99,,,,, sorta defeated the jogging results BUT, some would consider that a nice lil win-win situation. I won't complain, just will ask for the Jackpot prize next time in my prayers.
