So I'm sure most answers will be either in the store, out of the store or in the car, so that you can see if you should go in and buy more from the same roll, but I figured I'd ask anyways. I just got back from the store, not intending to buy anything lottery related, and brought back a $5 scratcher. I tossed it up on a shelf and will likely scratch it within the next few days. One of the only other people I know in person who buys scratchers will do them right after he buys them and he can't stand that I wait so long to do mine. I think it's from how I play the big games, I spend $10 on 10 draws and so I don't find out if I've won anything from my spending until about a month later.

I was told once that if you wait three days before scratching them, they become winners. Haven't tried it yet.

I rarely buy them but if I do I take them home just so the ticket hawks in the store don't know if I got a winner or loser.

@ ttech10, hav'nt heard much from ya, picked store, but that may B/C I rarely buy scratchers. Yea I've been busy with some stuff. When I do get on here I do a quick glance at titles and then move on. Just haven't been in the lottery state of mind that much. @onlymoney, I may have to try that. It shouldn't be too hard, I haven't even glanced at the ticket since I've gotten home (though I do the same with my MM QP and that never helps).

I never scratched one in the store I bought it at.. Majority of the time, I scratch them off at home not too long after coming home. I just can't wait a day or two to scratch it.. that's torture lol It Takes More Than a Dollar and a Dream :)

I like to buy the $5 tickets and the $2 tickets and sometimes the $1 tickets if the prizes is nice. But usually I win more with the $5 tickets so I try to stick with those tickets. I have not bought scratch-its this year though so I will have to get some new tickets in febuary when they come available.-weshar75

Hi ttech10, In the past I was always taking the tickets home and scratching them. In order to keep myself on a budget I would wait a week or more to scratch some of my tickets, that way I could tell myself that I have tickets at home and don't need to buy any. Over the weekend I finally scratched 2 tickets that I had for over two months. I also use to buy two tickets of a scratcher in a row (hoping if one of them was a loser the other would be a winner). When the new tickets for my state came out recently I would scratch one ticket in the store and if it was a winner wouldn't buy anymore from that batch, if it was a loser I would buy the next one and stop at that. I find it too addicting to scratch tickets in the store or even in my car because then I would feel the need to buy more.

I was told once that if you wait three days before scratching them, they become winners. Haven't tried it yet. Scratched them just a minute ago, which makes it around three days exactly. I revealed the three winning numbers up top and the first number scratched on the big board matched. Winner for $15. I'm tempted to get another scratcher, but I think I'm going to just keep the money and be up on the lottery for 2013 for a short while.
