In a year, how many times does the Powerball and Megamillions reach 100million?

The past few months, it seems like everybody wins when it reaches no more than 50m

You can see the jackpot level by draw date for the past few years for both Mega Millions and Powerball at these sites:

Maybe Powerball will be $100 million by Mother's Day.

Everybody doesn't win when it get to $50M because I haven't won yet.  A jackpots of $50M isn't bad for a $1 ticket or $10 worth of tickets.  When the jackpots get to over $100M, they do create a lot of interests and attact players out of the regular playing area, but $50M is plenty to attract local players.  Now that Megamillions and Powerball are in more states, they don't need the big jackpots to attract enough players to cover a good percent of the possible combinations.

As Powerball and Big Game/Megamillions enter more states the number of people playing grows so more combinations are played ergo the jackpots are hit more often. Powerball will probably reach it before Megamillions again since their jackpots grow faster.
