Hello..... Does anyone know what happened to the website, or have any info on the foundation ?

I was one of probably millions requesting assistance and I'm disappointed that I've not gotten a reply .

I guess it really is true there's no free lunch.

I guess my odds of getting help are roughly the same as all ours of winning the mega millions or powerball !

If you are really down on your luck and need a hand out, there are faith-base and government agencies that will help you get on your feet.  If I was in your condition, the first thing I would do is stop playing the lotteries.

The info you're looking for can be found here:

      http://www.lotterypost.com/thread/75358

In the future, if you are looking for information about a lottery topic, use the search feature on this site.  It has probably been discussed before.  There are many search options to narrow your search.

Check the State Lottery Report Card
What grade did your lottery earn?

Sign the Petition for True Lottery Drawings
      Help eliminate computerized drawings!

        I'm not that down.

I have a good job , but did go through a bad time recently and depleted all my resources.

If someone is giving it away, why not ask for a little ? What's the worst they can say ?    No ?

        Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I do play the lotteries, as a choice, not a habit or addiction. I stumbled across this website researching info . and joined the forum to ask a question.

        Have a nice day !!

My, My    You sure are full of venom.

Why don't YOU try some sort of therapy instead of posting degrading comments ?

You have no idea what my full story is, nor will you ever find out.

You just make assumptions and spew hateful comments.

I asked a simple question, It's just my bad luck you saw it. Fortunately, the other 91 people that did found no reason to attack like you did.

You have no freaking idea what you're talking about.

May I suggest prozac , paxil , or valium. maybe xanax.....

Spare me your holier than thou rhetoric. I don't even wish to see it.

To further prove my point that you need to chill.... look at the reply you sent that is nicely worded and somewhat conciliatory at 11:51...then look at the change in only 4 hours. Whatsamatter....feel the need to vent some frustration ?

Read them objectively and you will see   that you are obviously just trying to pick a fight.  You are double talking.

Just do me a favor and go away. I am not a professional anything. On the other hand, you seem to be a professional unsolicited advice giver.

One more thing...  get spell check. It's the little icon above that has ABC on it with a check mark.

Poor spelling and grammar make you look even more foolish.

                      Double Down:

To answer and shorten your search, I found a link that you may like to visit and the link you are currently looking for ww.jackwhittakerfoundation.com.

In my personal opinion, I would not send in any request for any money, nor would I ask him for a dime; despite the fact that he has 300 million of them. Why you may ask? There are several reasons why I am skeptical of this Foundation and a few reasons I will say.

First of all, this man played the lottery in hopes to win just like everyone, however, when he did, he said it was the devils money he won and was going to donate it to Churches and other Charities, but the way I saw it on TV, I guess Jack bought his way to heaven 300 million times.

I find nothing wrong with this, but if this man believes that it is the devils money, why in any ones mind would play the lotto? He claims the money he won was the devils money, but doesnt mind buying a Strip bar where $175,000 was almost about to be stolen out of his car. There is just something fishy about that guy I find in him and I wouldnt trust him one bit. I would rather ask a family member if I could borrow money, instead of asking him. Furthermore, of why I dont trust him, his site doesnt even work! Just goes to prove his foundation as faults advertisement. I wonder why Jack shut down his site, I am sure he could afford to keep it up, after all, he can afford a strip bar and I am sure he'll get more Entertainment now out of that, than playing the Powerball.

                        kristin,

did you ever really read a quote directly out of jack whittakers mouth that he believed that the money that he won from the lottery was the "devils money"?

i personally never heard or read that.

"jack" (or anyone else for that matter) couldn't "BUY" thier way to heaven with any amount of money.  that "price"  has already been paid and if jack said he could........thats strike two.

the amount that jack had the night in his truck at the strip bar was closer to $475,000.  not $175,000 which makes him dumber by $300,000 (lol).

evidently he shut his site down because they couldn't handle the amount of requests. a mistake he made (IMHO) in the first place.  you don't announce it, you just do it and then you can do it on your terms and in your own timing lessening the pressure from others.  he does however get "points" for giving money away.

I heard him say it on TV, when they interviewed him and his family were next to him.  I wouldn't have said that if he didn't, I'm not that type of person who makes up things.  I actually did forget the exact amount of the money he had, that was a mistake on my part, so I only put in $175,000 just as an example.  But still, carring that much money in your car with you is pretty stupid.

                            kristan,

then if he believed that,  he shouldn't have been playing.

i am sure there is a part of him that is a nice guy, but you sure aren't going to be known as the sharpest knife in the drawer if you carry around $475,000 in your  non armored "truck".

money just brings to the surface what you already where "character-wise" before you had it.    your actions will match your words.......good or bad.

money is a-moral.  it only becomes "evil"  when you use it for evil intentions. or the opposite when you use it for good.  otherwise it's just "paper".

Lets not forget guys.  That $475,000 wasn't all in cash.  There was $175,000 in cash and the other $300,000 was in 3 $100,000 blank cashiers checks.  The blank cashiers checks were for the casinos he was planning on going too.
