obviously its not exact amounts. just a ball park figure. of course this would be the cash value of the prize or if you took an anuity perhaps the whole thing. i'm just curious how much it would take to either quit your job permently or if you are retired what would be enough for you to have that lifestyle you have always wanted.

for me 10 would make me quit my job providing its in a cash prize and 100 million in a cash prize would be the kind of lifestyle i would love.

it's not what i "need",  but i voted more than jack because of my profile.

i am taught to be content with whatever place i find myself in life, so technically anything above what i have now would be a plus.

however "if" i had a choice i would like to be able to at least say that i have more money than brittany spears (just sounded funny), and at maximum i would like to un-seat jack whittaker as the worlds reigning single biggest "jack" winner of all time.

realistically i think with future inflation and all,  someone who won around $10 million could invest and live comfortably the rest of thier lives.  and that would include helping others and structuring a nice "leftover" for your heirs.

Most players are happy to get their money back, but many would not bother to buy a lottery ticket for a jackpot under $100M, that the reason most lottery states have the PowerBall or MegaMillions games.

lets just say that it would be very interesting to have so much money that you could buy virtually anything you wan't,  anytime you want.  some people could handle it and some people couldn't.

i imagine it would be very exciting for awhile until the seas settle down.  sooner or later whether you can buy anything you want ,  dventually there will come a time where money and things don't matter.  the "shine" will wear off and hopefully when that happens you are still the person that you were before the whole thing started.

I would like to not only win more than jack, but win more than the biggest jackpot in US history. Jack won 315 million (can't remember the cash value), and the highest jackpot in US history is 363 million (cash value unknown). So my dream is to win more than this. I agree with Thomas, winning 500 million with a cash value of over 200 million would be great. Of course if I won this much, or anything over 2 million in cash I would quit my job. And you wouldn't see me on TV saying something stupid (in my opinion) like I'm going to get new brakes for my tractor and get a new refrigerator. And I sure as hell would not be drugged and robbed at a strip club....
