Poor old jack made the news again last night. Said he was arrested for drunk driving. I think they said he was on his way to the race track but I am not sure. That man is bent on self distruction. THe first time I saw him on TV after he won I was happy he won as he seemed so nice. Did the money destroy him or was he really a wolf on sheeps clothing all along. Now I hate it that he won!

lottograndma: I really think in all honesty, he was kinda like that in the beginning. I really don't understand a man of that character, and having a wife that teaches Sunday School. Looks like he would understand the true values in life and family. I wonder if he ever sent his wife to Jerusalem like she had alway's wanted? No, I think now he's just got more and excuses to do more of what he was doing in the first place. He's also one I think, that likes to be in the "Limelight." You can tell by the way he "poses" for his picturer to be taken. "Count your blessings Mr. Whittaker. Life is short..."

like the old saying goes, "having money just makes you more of what you are." Maybe old Jack had some issues before he won the money.

I think so too, Cheif. I've said it befoe, and now is a good time, too to say it again. Hardly a week goes by without a Jack Whitaker story. I think we all concur now, that having that much money must turn people crazy. But maybe old Jack's calling in life is to keep the rest of us entertained, and to point out the downside of being careful what one wishes for. I'm sure there are lots of other cases like this, where someone wins big and goes nutso. And broke. And into trouble. On a happy note, maybe Mrs. Whitaker went to Israel, that's why maybe why old Jack is out running around and can hang out in the bars and strip clubs and get into trouble. Thanks for starting this topic line, lottograndma. Well, even his own church didn't want his money. I agree with ChunnyBunny on another thread. Where can we join his list of benefactoree's? I think he ought to start a thing like the Late Percy Ross and have a newspaper column where people write in asking for money. Not much, maybe 2 grand max.
