Inspired by johnph77's analysis of Jackpot games on his web site (see http://www.johnph77.com/math/lotfreq.html), I got to wondering if something similar could be done for the Pick 3.
In order to do this, one cannot use all 1000 numbers, since then each number has an equal probability of appearing in each position. Rather, one has to use the 220 boxed combinations, where each number is equal to or greater than its predicessor.
Having said that, here is how the chart works out. Whether it has any real significance is something that I am not prepared to answer. Hopefully, in some way. it will help someone, somewhere.
