It seems that a lot of comments are generated on this site about the merits of QuickPicks or selections without any strategy. I thought it might be interesting to see how such number selections might fare in tonight's LOTTO South drawing. Below are five sets of numbers from such sources. Let's see how this hypothetical $5 investment fares tonight. To anyone who might dare to run out and play these numbers, "Caveat emptor!"

Lottery Post Quick Picks Generator: 3-19-20-25-34-35

KY Lottery Lucky Number Cruncher: 7-16-26-32-35-48

LOTTO South Random Number Picker: 2-5-8-22-30-43

My very own one dollar Lotto Pen: 7-24-27-38-44-45

Numbers off the top of my head: 4-13-18-26-29-43

Hmmmmm, we'll see how this turns out.

Lotto South for 05/15/04 was 16-22-28-35-45-47

Looks like a good example of probabilty in action.

You had 24 numbers among your five tickets and matched three of
the winning numbers without winning anything.

There is no quanity of quick picks you can buy that will guarantee any win.

There is no quanity of quick picks you can buy that will guarantee a jackpot.

There is no quanity of quick picks you can buy that will guarantee all numbers have been played.

To guarantee a 3# win with three numbers correct among 24 would take 116  wheeled combinations.  :-(  BobP

The winning LOTTO South numbers for 5-19-04 were 2-21-32-36-39-45. Here's how the picks in this rather unsystematic number picker system fared.

Lottery Post Quick Picks Generator: 8-12-37-38-43-47, 0/6 for $0

KY Lottery Lucky Number Cruncher: 21-30-33-35-42-44, 1/6 for $0

LOTTO South Random Number Picker: 9-23-26-28-30-46, 0/6 for $0

My very own one dollar Lotto Pen: 16-27-41-42-47-48, 0/6 for $0

Numbers off the top of my head: 9-12-28-33-39-42, 1/6 for $0

Ouch! This is worse than the results on Saturday! Only two numbers were matched, each on separate lines. We're another $5 in the hole on this trial for a total loss of $10. So far, there has been no return, but I've done just as bad or worse with calculated number selections. I'll give it another try on Saturday.

It looks like the KY Lottery Lucky Number Cruncher is doing the best so far. It's the only picker that matched numbers in both draws... two on Saturday and one last night. Unfortunately, it hasn't matched enough numbers to cash a ticket. All the other pickers have matched only one number so far.

Lucky/random picker number selections for LOTTO South for 5-26-04:

Lottery Post Quick Picks Generator: 13-23-33-44-45-47

KY Lottery Lucky Number Cruncher: 11-13-16-17-20-38

LOTTO South Random Number Picker: 8-14-17-30-33-46

My very own one dollar Lotto Pen: 1-6-11-15-25-37

Numbers off the top of my head: 19-21-32-38-41-48

This is not a recommendation for a method of play. These numbers are not to be construed as predictions for the outcome of the LOTTO South drawing. No responsibility is assumed for consequences incurred by anyone who takes any action based on these selections. These number picks are offered only as a part of an informal test to see how quick/random picks fare in lottery play.

Results and evaluations will be posted after the drawing.

This is not a system. In the main it is the posting of random selections in an inappropriate section where you discuss the merits of what you have done with yourself.

Why you persist with it defies my comprehension. There is no "strategy" here. Frankly, the thought crosses my mind that you may be parodying the members that do have systems.

Why not give this the toss and tell us about how you can bypass getting better results for the smaller prizes to target the big one as you have stated more than once? Now that is something I would really be interested in. I assume you do have a system other than playing random selections for that?

Maybe you don't have any system!

No offence....really.  Colin has the right idea on this subject. It should be posted under one of the big game forums or discussion. That way people looking at.... or for Systems.... won't lose topics off the back end so quickly. This way we all can stay on subject and focus our attempts. Whatayathink? Better right? It is interesting however.

We had someone posting daily pick 3 picks the other day here. That really was something. It was also a commerical post as well. Now, that really was a distraction for sure and he did several .....one on top of the other. That pushed several System Posts off the back end that had interested thousands of viewers at one time or the other.

                         Thanks for helping

                          Win D,

Colin is just fuming over the fact that I exposed a fraudulent claim he was making in another thread. He couldn't admit he was wrong, so now he is obsessed with trying to get even. I have long put the matter out of my mind, but if he has to roam the boards trying to incite conflict in order to validate his presence, that is an even more shameful reflection on his own character.

Many people use QuickPicks quite strategically and systematically. Though not intended to be very scientific, this is a working evaluation of random/lucky picker sources. These are not picks for play. This is not a commercial endeavor. Everything I've posted has been under this one thread. I have not repeatedly made new threads that would occupy more lines in the index of this forum.

My understanding was when I posted the table in the Buying More Tickets - Reduced Odds thread it exposed the true value of your accusations ie baseless.
                            http://www.lotterypost.com/thread/86508/11

Further, as I understand it the basis of your accusation was that it was fraudulent to set a nominal Dollar value for the prizes to enable a meaningfull comparison between the Lotto games using the same picks and numbers. I note that Todd has followed a similar approach in working out the winnings with overwhelming approval of the members. I saw no dissenting post from you and no accusations made to Todd that such an approach would be fraudulent.

Throughout my business life I have been fearless in protecting my reputation, integrity and honesty. Usually there is a cost to doing so but that has not dissuaded me and I have recorded a win against no less than a QC and a few others of lesser legal status. No doubt you make such outrageous claims with no fear of legal consequences.

I have referred your Post to Todd.
