Having lived in New Jersey, I was fortunate enough to hit the Atlantic City casinos: my favorite being Balleys (slot machines) because the casino was lucky for me, and I could usually count on winning something.  Serious casino players have their favorites, too.

Ah, sweet memories!  I remember leaving the casinos on Monday,  February 17, 1997 (I checked the day) with $3,150.00.  I won $1,000 (different casino), playing WHEEL OF FORTUNE (my favorite) -- and winning the rest at Balleys.  In fact, I still have Balley's machine slot card (great for Las Vegas, huh.)

Since I was going down memory lane, I thought to myself: damn, my odds of winning are greater playing the slots than attempting to hit Powerball.

What are your odds?

    Hey True Blue
    How do you do.

I dunno. I think maybe you lose your dough faster on those one armed bandits.

Anyway, no one had responded to your post so I thought I'd give you the pleasure of at least one reply.

Did you know that to be called Blue or Bluey in Aussie you have to have Red hair? Why's that, damned if I know.

    Regards

I prefer the table games myself - Blackjack and Craps.

On a recent business trip to Panama I won $5,000 in a casino - $3,500 at Blackjack & $1,500 at craps - in one night.  I started with $200 in.

It took me about 2-3 hours, and by the end of that time, I was sitting at the Blackjack table with about 30 people ringing the back of the table (observing), with all the other players at the table asking my advice on almost every hand.  The fun part was that almost no one spoke more than 2 words of English, but the smiles, hand signals, and high-fives were all that was needed.  And I occasionally relied on my high school Spanish, which is exceedingly poor.

Odds?  The odds in a casino are much better than the lottery, but one doesn't take the joy away from playing the other.

Of course it will be better than hitting the Powerball..I have a better chance of starting for the Detroit Pistons than hitting the Powerball but in regards to games like Pick 3 and Pick 4 I dont know. A friend I know won 7500 dollars in one week playing at some online casino and yet he can't get his pick 4 number to fall in 2 years. Myself though, I've won a few hundred bucks in the last few weeks on pick 3 but always manage to lose 50-100 dollars on slots when I go to Casino in Southern Indiana.

Yes, it's easier to lose money at a casino than playing the lottery.  It's also more likely you'll develop compulsive gambling if you play at a casino.
