For me, it was only 2 bucks, but I know people have won more. Has anyone here had better luck with them?

I think the most I ever won on a scratch off was like $2 and a few free tickets.I don't play them that much.
Now about 5 or 6 years ago a old friend of my dads bought a Ohio Cash Explosion ticket (this is the game in Ohio for the TV show) he got a ticket to enter to be on that show and got on and don't remember how much he won but he won a new car with his.At the time he was like 70+yrs old so he had someone to go on the tv show for him. I think about $12. But that was a long time ago. I don't play scratch off tickets very often. "No one remembers the person who almost climbed the mountain, only the person who eventually gets to the top."

I hit $100 on a $1 Junior Jumbo Bucks back in April 2005. (hit it via JUMBO for 5x $20 -- you can see a picture of it in my very 1st blog post here) That very same day, I kept $70 of that $100 and bought 3 $10 tickets and hit $20-$50-$20. A Gold account on Lottery Post: $4.95
An Extreme Green few Quick $50 scratchers: $5
Airfare and hotel in March 2007 to see The Price Is Right before Bob Barker retired: $600-something

Ah, so that's how you won the 9000. Heck, they don't even offer that much in Michigan for 1 dollar scratchers. That must have been an experience.
And even 50 dollars is pretty good for those 1 dollar ones.

The most I've won was $50. I don't usually play $1 tickets. I go for the big bucks!!! I like $5 or more. How are you going to win if you don't play?

The most I ever won on the $1 scratchers was $100 one time and $88 another time but that was in the 80's.

Years ago Massachusetts had a recycle incentive program whereas you could turn in bundles of losing scratch tix and recieve a $1 ticket. For every bundle of 25 losers they would give you one $1 ticket. They had to scrap the program ironicly because it was too successful and folks were collecting losing tickets and getting so many freebies that the Ma lottery was losing $$$.
Anywho- before they ditched the program my Mom and I collected 250 bundles and went to the State Fair to turn them in. We sat around the kitchen table scratching away when all of a sudden her husband abrubtly stood up- staring at a ticket he had just scratched. Thought for sure he was BS-ing us but we had indeed hit the top prize for the $1 "Fast 50" ticket- $5000! Lottery printed 40 million of those tix with only 200 top prizes. Talk about a neddle-in-a-haystack hit!

I won $1 on a $1 scratcher once, a few months ago. Thought it was lucky day, went back and bought 10 more and didnt win anything. I rarely play scratchers. I'm weird, I can spend $20 on the PB and not win anything and be ok with it, but lose $1 on a scratcher and be pissed off all day, lol.

I won $15,000 on a thanksgiving day in the 1990's. It was on a game called "Jokers Wild" in a little town called Damascus, Virginia. Dont remember the exact year but I do remember that I won on thursday and since it was a holiday the lottery office was closed on friday and I had to hold the ticket until the following Monday. I had to take the ticket out every 15 minutes to look at to make sure I was not dreaming. It was the first thing I thought about when I woke up and the last when I went to bed. When I cashed the ticket in they took $4,800 out for taxes and I was furious-had the sense to keep my cool though as I was afraid the would run me out with nothing. Nothing major since. Ambition is a poor excuse for not having sense enough to be lazy.

I'm weird, I can spend $20 on the PB and not win anything and be ok with it, but lose $1 on a scratcher and be pissed off all day, lol. The most I've won on the scratcher games is: $50.00 on the Fantasy 5 scratcher game; I just chalked it up to beginner's luck--but I agree with you--I haven't had much luck in winning any high amount on the scratcher games in CA; in my honest opinion, they aren't any good and the payoff is lousy. Unless you are in the right place, at the right time to buy a scratcher with the WINNING JACKPOT, you are just throwing good money away. Also, to generate more revenue,
the CA Lottery has 2nd Chance Drawings on particular scratcher games to re-deem or send in for A 2nd chance of winning a lower jackpot. I've send in my 2nd Chance tickets and haven't won yet...GO FIGURE

The most I've ever gotten on $1 tickets is maybe $3 and usually buy more with that and wind up with nothing, lol. The best I ever did was $70 three times on $5 tickets in Arizona. Naturally, I chased the big bucks with that and wound up with zip again. Somebody is going to win millions again. My chance is as good as the person who won last time.
