This is a joke right?  We originally agreed on 55 sets of numbers, then I said ok to 100, now you posted 172 sets.  Anyone should be able to at least win 4 of 6 with 172 sets. 

In order to properly test a system, you need to agree to the controls set and work within those controls.  RJOh posted 50 sets.  Comparing 50 sets to 172 is not fair or accurate. 

Let's see what happens with everyone's numbers tonight. But for Saturday's drawing, let's please agree on an amount of sets and stick with it.  50 or 100 sets is fine with me, let's just all post the same amount and see what happens.  I will post my picks later this afternoon.

I don't play Lotto South and these numbers were picked randomly, so if they hit anything it won't prove much.  I live in north central Ohio and Kentucky is too far to drive to play a game that similar to SuperLotto that has a similar size jackpots.  However if either of your systems do well, they might be helpful in picking numbers for SuperLotto.  Good luck to all.

It does not matter.  That will happen in a Lottery drawing.  Any effective system should take that into consideration.  If there were no (weird ones), it would be easier to predict the numbers.  LOL

That is correct.  My picks weren't effected by what hit in the last few drawings or the most popular numbers, so a different set of numbers picked the same way should have the same mix.  I haven't tried to develop a system for Lotto South, but I do play Ohio SuperLotto which is a 6/49 game but draws an extra ball as a bonus.
In my experiences, similar games work differently in different areas.  As I explained in another post to Trance about his picks in the Georgia Fantasy5.  What was a $19 lost in that 5/39 game could have been a $200 profit in another State's 5/39 game.
I'll be watching to see if either of you come up with some ideas that might apply to the SuperLotto game.  Good luck to you both.

During 6 x 100 or 600 plays that would amount to maybe ~10 match 3's and maybe a match 4, but the file has almost matched that in 200 plays.  I also checked that file with the Ohio649 lottery for the same period and it did as well.  I hope this doesn't indicate that 100 randomly picked lines in as good as 100 lines picked using a well thought out strategy.  Trance did much better with the 67 lines he posted for the Ohio649 lottery on 09/25/04 and if it was the results of his system rather than dumb luck, he should be able to do it with Lotto South too.  You fellows have challenged dumb luck with intelligent thought and if dumb luck wins, I'll have to rethink the value of using a system to pick lottery numbers.  Good luck to you both for the next drawing.

For what it's worth:

A wheel to guarantee a minimum of one 3# prize in a 6/49 game requires at least 163 lines for a split wheel consisting of a 22,6,3,3,77 and a 27,6,3,4,86 wheel placed side by side.  A straight up build without splitting the fields would take about 300 lines. 

Code for wheels, first number is the Pool size, second is Ticket or Play size, third is Prize or Match size, forth is Hits winning numbers in our Pool to guarantee Prize, fifth is how many lines it takes to do it. 

CoverMaster can make the first in seconds, takes skill to make the second in that size.  Free older version 54 of CoverMaster can be found at http://www.lotto-logix.com/wheellinks.html download the zip and extract to a directory such as C:\CM54  The link to the newest CoverMaster 55.2 is a password protected zip, the author John Rawson requires you join eBayUK (free) to get the password, but v54 does most of what v55.2 does except for auto-restarts of the Optimization process.

The main thing with CoverMaster is you can copy and paste these lines you're posting into it and see what percentage of coverage you're getting with all those lines.  Funny thing with wheels is it takes almost a third of the wheel to close the cover, so with 100 lines you can have anywhere from under 70% to 98% coverage of 3if6in49.  There is no reason you can't be winning 8 times out of 10 or better.

A wheel to guarantee at least a 4# prize in 6/49 takes a wheel of at least 3,980 lines.  BobP

I've been reading yours and Trance's posts in another thread and I had hoped this test would continue as planned.  As I expressed in my PM to you, Trance of Iowa acted and posted like the Goose of China and with his style of posting he would expose his real identity and lose his member status.  I see he is now only a guess.  I had hoped one of you would prove that numbers picked using a thoughtfully designed system would do better than the dumb luck of an equal amount of randomly picked numbers but I assume now the test has ended unless you continue to post.  Dumb luck beats the systems and the Goose from China is out.
