Been there done that. to coin an old expression. To have played and won anything is better than playing and winning nothing.

Well, on the bright side, you have some money to buy tickets for the next jackpot draw because it's rolled again!

if it makes you feel better i only matched 2 numbers for tonights drawing.

  I still have yet to win $100.  The best I've ever done was matching three white balls for $7 in the Powerball and matching two white balls + the mega ball for $10 in Mega Millions.  I have been playing for almost a year now and so far I've got back only $24 between the two games (I only play whichever game has the higher jackpot at the time).

i'd take what you can get. it's better than not winning anything.

 I once had five out of six for $1000 in a 6/42 game; one more number would have made me a $5 million winner. In fact, the number I needed was in the line above directly over the wrong number. I thought a lot about how close I had come to hitting the jackpot, but I was thrilled with the $1000 because I needed it pretty badly at the time.

Of course, you wish you had won the jackpot, but you were very fortunate to win the $100 in a tough game like PowerBall. Be happy about your good luck and enjoy your winnings.

when you walk away with more than you bet, that's a win... enjoy it because it doesn't happen often... I have only ever hit $100 once, and I was thrilled (only regret was not playing the power play... it was 5x that night, but back then I usually played 10 lines... now that I play 1, I power it up for the extra buck).

Congrats on your hit! I matched 2 white balls and was oner number off of matchig a third... I would have been happy with $7 (x4 ;-)  ) but it was not to be... maybe next week.

I would be happy with the $100 dollars also.  I know you were very very close and if I was in your position I would be feeling pretty bad.  But ever since I started playing PB last September (2003), on and off, i've never won a single dime.  Hopefully that makes you feel better.

Its true, you had a ticket that you did not pick, the computer gave them to you, you did not almost win the computer did, it is a lesson for you , to help you win the lottery in the future, and here is the lesson, for you , it is called , BE more AWARE! becasue it is a sign for you , that you may win soon, or it may be 1 year later, dont fear nothing, and dont spend all your money, just relax, go on with life, if you spend every dime trying to win now , because you almost won, you are going to go broke. Let life happen, you will win! dont try so hard, let life win for you! that is what it is trying to do for you, keep going , you may be a year away from winning it could be a week. dont give up! but dont go broke trying to win, it will elude you EVERY TIME!

When a computer generated ticket gives you your numbers, next time spend a few more dollars, and mix those numbers up a tad bit more with some other numbers, go one up one down, you still have the $100 if you dont get it right if the computer does it again. if the new numbers you pick dont come up either o wel. the greatest thing about the lottery I always say is, it is not going anywhere soon, there is always another chance tomorrow. people only think Money is everything! it isn't.

 Rememeber you are only trying to win! I know the feeling of losing out , it has happened a few times. Those numbers on that quick pick are for you to finagle with, you can not trust FATE to much, that is the trouble here, you really trust Fate to much, let Fate happen to you, dont chase after FATE trying to manipulate it now to go your way, have fun, relax, play again, enjoy it, it will come to you. the computer it may give you numbers for you to work with next time it may give them all to you. You are trusting fate to much.

 I get 3 numbers all the time on quick picks almost every third time.  My girlfriend just the other day went into a grocery store filled out a ticket and let the computer pick one on the same card, for $2 it gave her four, SHE was so Happy, you could see jesus in her face and eyes, YOU do the same, Hey you won! Just like she did you did not even have to pick the numbers, the computer gave them to you, for nothing pratically.

When I lost I personally hand picked ALL my numbers. you believe me, i know what it feels like to ALMOST win! I was suicidal for two days, then i got over it, kind of, then i didnt get over it , then i did, then i didnt , then i did, then i had enough of blaming everyone else that i didnt win. then i went on with life. I then took my lemons and made lemonaid, came up with a lottery software becasue i lost, and now I practically win the lottery almost every single time. if fact i have won several times using my own system, some times big some times small, i just won 3 times yesterday,and you can check the hunch i gave everyone on here , i told everyone that 7-17-27-37-47 one of those were going to come up in mega or lotto, it did, I told them 24 as well it came up as well, i told them something close to 9-11, well 8-10 came up. not a bad hunch ay? anyone who listened increased their chances of winning because i told them my hunch, I won 23 times already. some big some small, the trick is to think simple, live simple, think simple, never complicate things to much! I can win simple because I lost,you will too budd, you will too.

Losing it opened up my eyes to a whole new reality. Please dont let this thing get to you. your a good soul, there is lots of great things for you ahead. be good to yourself, you will be alright!

Oh thank you  biglooser and thank you all!  I just couldnt sleep at all last night because I just kept thinking about how close I was.  Right now I feel better and feel that Im not the only one who been there!
