Hey Winsum...I take it you are finding this a beneficial program? I've tried Ion's software before and have always found that his IQ is so far out of the stratosphere that I can never understand his software. (I'm no dummy, just that Ion must have an IQ over 200 ) - Anyway, before I spend time trying to understand this program, how about you letting me/us know what about it you have found to be helpful? Thanks Badger

Badger, I just know the basics. My advice is if you want to learn and you have the patience and not get frustrated this is a cool program to experiment with. I have read different posts about how frustrating Ion's programs are. I can tell you honestly that I needed to read and re-read the Tutorials. You will get that "Ah-Haa" moment when you finally figutre out the basics. As for the strategies, this may take a little more time. Besides it's a Free program. I can offer some help to anyone here who needs it. I have each states Pick 3 data files. (Data-3) (Maximum 500 past draws) Some states may have fewer draws. Once you understand the "Functions" of this program the next key is to look at your specific states Pick-3 drawings and develop the strategies. The beauty of this program is checking your "Strategies" to see how effective they were in the past. You can see the number of hits, skips, current skip and the median for that particular strategy plus much more. To be quite honest , this program needs a Step-by-Step Tutorial. In my opinion, the "Strategies" are key. Good Luck!! Winsum

Ion's Software: I have been working with Ion's software for well over 10 years. Over this time the updates have been better and faster. Please remember this is free programs for you to experiment with. I can't begin to tell way back when I started how frustrating this all was. But once again the programs got better and better. If you look at this as a way to look at the pick-3 game in patterns of the daily 3 number not the number itself, you will start to see the patterns forming and then you can start making your strategies based on the patterns of past drawings. Yes the beauty of all of this is you can check on your strategies in past drawings to see if you are getting good at finding patterns in the reports that you made. You need a lot of time, patience, and more time to work with this program. Good luck to all

Winsum and Radionics, Thanks for the input. My free time is little right now, but that just means it will take me longer to work with the program. I have always respected Ion's mathmatical mind. Unfortunately, such high-IQ personalities often produce frustration from most of us simply because out learning curves are so much greater. Badger ============

Did you solve the problem with you data3 files?
Ion....I too thank you...... needed the strategy checker
first run after some adjustments to filters had 28 sets of numbers with several of the numbers with 2 digits correct.
Next day it had 14 numbers .... strategy had 6 wins in 100
days, any one think that I should try for more than that,
14 to 28 numbers seems to me to be good.

Thanks retxx, What I was thinking about doing is this. Maybe I will use the Mass Pick 4 and trim the Front 3 and Back 3. Do you have a preference on Front or Back?? I use Versabet34 database for each states Pick3/4 past drawings. Anyone who use Versabet34 knows that there are mistakes in the drawings in the datatbases. This will be an experiment, so maybe I will use 1000 past draws. Let me know about either using Front or Back for this experiment?? Thanks, Winsum

Bigjer -- Are you talking about 6 straight wins in 100 days? If so, playing say 20 combos a day at 50 cents per would have cost you $100 -- and retuned $1500 a very good run. If you're talking 6 boxed wins in 100 days, you would have only made a profit of $140....that's not much for a lot of work and risk..more like something as a "hobby". So I guess the question is what are you looking to accomplaish? If it's just for fun then the boxed wins are good. If you are trying to find a way to make a little income over the year on the side, then the boxed wins wouldn't help much. What's your goal? Also, could you have afforded to stick with spending about 10 bucks a day on the game for as long as you had to do so in order to get those hits when they happened? If not, then there are too many combinations for the pocketbook.

Whoops ! Make that $1,000 dollars spent if playing 100 days at 20 combos at 50 cents each. I should stop writing posts and trying to calculate in my head before my morning coffee kicks in...sorry 'bout that. So Bigjer, you would have made a profit of $500 over 100 days betting straight. That would be too rich for my tastes. No way I could afford 10 bucks a day. That's the problem with this game. I think most of us have to get a system that makes a profit with 10 combos or less. Very tough to do. ============

Badger, Depending on the Strategy Set-up for Pick332 used by BigJer you can use the (F4) Function "Check Strategy" in Pick332 to check past drawings. Below is just a sample strategy using Pennsylvania Pick 3 Evening Drawings only. If you look below I only used 1 "Eliminating Condition" VR1 = 6 Minimum Value

** Frequency of the Strategy using 100 Drawings ** Using the Vr1=6 Strategy: It hit 16 Times in the last 100 draws The current skip is 5 drawings The sorted skips are the same as skips but sorted from low to high. The Median Skip is 4 The idea is to play this strategy when the Current Skip is below the Median For example: If the current skip was 3 and the Median is 5, I would play the combinations generated by this strategy a total of 2 more drawings or if it hit. If it goes past 5 skips I would NOT play!! Hope that makes sense!!

Using the "Strategy Check" (F4) in the Pick332 program I can see how efficient this particular Strategy is: If you look at the chart below you notice 745 hit on 10/8/2004 and 092 hit on 10/4/2004.

The above is just a SAMPLING of what you can do using PICK332. I would not use the above Strategy Vr1=6 because of the number of combinations you would have to play. It comes back to looking at your states Pick 3 Reports, selecting a strategy, playing a manageable number of combinations. If you have MS Excel you can copy and paste the Reports into Excel and sort the column or columns.

The previous listing was just a sampling from 100 past drawings. You can use 100, 200!! 200 is a good number of past drawings when looking at the Reports and sorting by column. It gives you an idea of the High & Lows then you can look at other columns. The + and - signs shows if the number increased / decreased / or stayed the same. For example if you look at line number 1 under Drawings you see +844. On line number 2 you see 816. Since 844 is larger than 816, the 844 received a + sign next to it. It is the same for every column. The 844 is the most recent number drawn in line number 1. Another thing to look for using the + and - signs are any streaks of 2 to 3 of the same sign. If you look at Syn1 column at the bottom you see -39, -32, -27. This may be a bad example, but you see the next number after -27 was a 43+.
