California Jackpot Winners

When you read the California's Lottery Jackpot Winner's Handbook on the website, calottery.com  You may notice that the only facts you are required to give is your name, city, amount won and whether you chose the Lump Sum or the Annuity. If you read between the lines and see what is not there is... you have every right to say No to volunteering additional information. They cannot force you to talk by withholding your prize.

They cannot legally release any other information that you write down on the Claim Form, the Jackpot Election Claim Form, nor the W-2G papers.

They will appreciate courteous chit chat about nothing but it will help them in their daily work.

Abraham Shakespeare

You Tube.  Stephanie Harlowe, a journalist and video poster has created a three part series where she gives a woman's intuition and point of view of the whole story. She delves deeply into D.D. Moore's lies and long life of crime.

Magellan TV is one of her supporters.

She tells us of how child like were Abraham Shakespeare and his post win actions.  He trusted almost everyone. He was illiterate with a fourth grade education. Of course he made mistakes but it is not his total fault. Systems failed him. Like so many others.

 I enjoyed the videos.

Belief

Do you believe that you will be a successful millionaire? Have you prepared for this opportunity? What is success to you?

Will you travel the path of past successful lottery winners? That road has been walked by many.

Are you ready to change if necessary?

I got these ideas from Chris Hogan's book, "Everyday Millionaires". He is a Co-Host of the Dave Ramsey Show.

Guilt

Will you be surprised by guilt after winning the lottery? I might be.  If I win hundreds of millions of dollars I might experience more guilt than a smaller win would bring.

There is so much inequity and unfairness in this world. You might ask yourself, "Why do I have so much more money than the other person?"

Beware of the strangers who come out of the woodwork and play your guilt against you. Even family and friends will do the same.

 Any opinions out there?

Happy go lucky lottery winners

One year later, Feb.16,2007 Powerball is still treating the winners right.  This is what I found while using the Search box. An update on the eight winners who used to work at a meat processing plant in Lincoln, Nebraska. All of them seem to have level heads. They stayed in Nebraska. It is a good read.

I am curious about how they lived through the Great Recession in 2008 - 2009. I hope they did well with their investments.

Another winner in Star, Idaho, Brad Duke had major investments in real estate. His portfolio survived the Great Recession and it has increased afterwards.

I would love updates on most winners.US Flag

Dave Ramsey

Dave Ramsey is the host of The Dave Ramsey Show. He is also an author. He has hired many employees. One of those is Chris Hogan. Chris has written, "Everyday Millionaire".

After listening and reading what they have said I have come to the conclusion that when I win millions I will have to live amongst my fellow millionaires.

Here on Lottery Post there is the conclusion that non-millionaire neighbors try to keep up with the Jones's. When the Jones' are millionaires. It leads to strife.

It may be too difficult to try to hide your wealth. New clothes, new car, new home, boat, trailer, truck,

What say ye?

Prime Minister of the U.K. Boris Johnson and COVID-19

It is sad to hear the worsening news about Prime Minister Boris Johnson. He is in ICU now. He was admitted to the Hospital 24 hours before being transferred to the ICU.

One of the leaders in the Free World. He was not in good physical health before being struck down.

These are times that most people do not want to go through. God Bless You all.

Bank robber & Lottery winner Jim Hayes

Do you remember the Lottery Post story about Jim Hayes?  He won the lottery and than hit hard times after losing his fortune. He became addicted to street drugs and decided to rob banks to fund his addiction.

His release date is this Sunday, 2/23/2020

 He might publish his memoirs.

I guess that the prison is located near Long Beach, California.  San Pedro?

Jim made a lot of mistakes with his winnings. Joining a long list of past winners who frivolously lost their winnings.

I hope he lives the rest of his life sober and clean.
