Pic 3 Layout part 1

I took several different systems and incorporated them together.
I did create a chart of my own, based on Gail Howard's
Abbreviated Drawings Since Hit Chart.
Her chart was never designed to do pic 3's so I had to modify it.
I studied these systems and discovered some anomalies.

number generating systems

these workouts are compliments of Vergie6, Aleon, some credit is due to Lucky I am sure
as it is similiar to his one up, one down system. My own spin, is I take
the previous drawing set and use them as a key.
this is where you take the previous drawing results and add or subtract a given
number set (key) to each didget and work your way down. egyptian math is used.

As you have probably noticed by now, the rundown is a continuois loop.
the number set at the top of the workout should end up at the bottom
as well. if it doesn't, then there is an error in your math.

using the workout columns sort through the number sets. I have discovered that every number
that hit in the drawing, showed up in my workouts an average of 3.0555 times.
its best to use a logbook and highlighter.

Dec 11 LottoAce North Carolina Pick 3 Daytime 6-Way Box 3-9-5 9-5-3 $40

this came in while I was posting. you can see how many times the set of
953 showed up in my workouts.

I use this chart, to help reduce my number selections.
a good overdue pair chart to use with this one would be a nice set up.

Pic 3 Journey, through the forest

These players are consistant! thats what I needed to be
if I was going to achieve my goal of a 101% prize ratio.
a few hits here and there were not going to cut it.

Idea: what if I could limit my pic selection?
I would not be as consistant as Player A and B, but
I wouldn't need to be.
If I could maximize my output from each hit.
then my prize ratio would go up.

I began using box strageties. I used the numbers
from the past drawings history. I wasn't hitting.
I also used some of the predictions of some players
off the Lotto Post forums. no sucess. I gave thier system a try.
then one day I was viewing the yesterdays winners
what I saw caught me by surprise.

LottoAce: Pic 3 Eve X 5 picking up the $290
the very next day
LottoAce: Pic 3 Eve X 4 picking up the $290

these very set of hits brought a states prize ratio
form 81.16% to 106.69%!!

time to use it on my own state.

I struggled at first. the system that Player A
described to me seemed to be working at times.
I decided to start tracking these numbers on my own.
problem was is that my predictions were not matching Player A's.
whatever system player A was using it was producing far better
results than the one player A told me to use. player A did say
they used a system from back in the day. player A didn't reveil it to me.
thats ok. I didn't expect player A to tell me all thier tricks.
but A did help me out, alot!

I turned to the forums, there I found good
people who were willing and able to take the
time and explain things to me.

I learned the ropes, and started keeping a log.
I added another number generator key
and created a chart to assist me in my number
selection.

My results in N.C. are as follows..

Oct 01-31 my prize ratio is 104.24%

Nov 01-28 my prize ratio is 124.64%

I still have pics out, so Nov average might go up or down.
it depends on what hits in the next two days.
it still will not drop below 101.00%

two months in a row I have met my goal
with my new system.

Pic 3 journey the river runs wild

7)I began to look at the yesterdays winners page.
this page of course shows you the winning results
from the predictions of all the lottery post
players that participate and post thier predictions.
this of course is where the statistics for the Top
Predictors Page derives from.

keep in mind that the time to catch a tip from
a player is on the predictions page.
remember if you see a big hit, unless its yours,
its too late to capitalize on the prediction.

problem: it can be misleading, if not properly used.
some of these hits come from luck. some don't.
how do we sort them out?

thats where the combination of top predictors,
yesterdays winners, and prediction statistics
all come into play.

what I was looking for were players, who consistantly
posted predictions, consistantely hit, and would be
willing to share thier knowledge with me.

it was during this time that I noticed a few players
that were hitting in my state more often than myself.
I looked on the top predictors page. they were
listed, but much lower than I expected. why?
it was because of the number of pics they put out.
although they hit very often, they put out alot of
predictions to get those hits.
the search continued.

on Aug 19, 2016 I noticed a player had hit N.C. Pic 3.
I had seen this players name numerous times before.
so I decided to do a follow up. turns out
that between Aug 01-Aug 19 there were two players
that had hit the Pic 3 nearly every day.
I began to track the players predictions and results.
four more hits followed.
Player A: Aug 26 Pic 3 Eve
Player A: Aug 27 Pic 3 Day
Player A: Aug 27 Pic 3 Eve
Player A: Aug 28 Pic 3 Eve

I messaged the players and they told me a little
about thier systems. I am grateful because had they
not have, I would have never accomplished what I did.

Player B: Sept 01 Pic 3 Day
Player B: Sept 03 Pic 3 Day
Player A: Sept 06 Pic 3 Eve
Player B: Sept 07 Pic 3 Eve
Player B: Sept 09 Pic 3 Day
Player A: Sept 09 Pic 3 Day
Player A: Sept 09 Pic 3 Eve
Player B: Sept 09 Pic 3 Eve

These two kept going back and forth
like heavyweight brawlers. unbelievable!

Player A: Sept 10 Pic 3 Eve
Player B: Sept 10 Pic 3 Day
Player A: Sept 11 Pic 3 Eve
Player A: Sept 12 Pic 3 Day
Player B: Sept 13 Pic 3 Day
Player B: Sept 13 Pic 3 Eve

this was beyond all reasonable
lucky streaks or expected
winning percentages!

In search of...a Pic 3 journey

This is the Blog that I have been dreading for two months to write.
I have a basic concept of what information to present, no idea of how to present it.

I guess I should start from the beginning. it started with an idea.
what if I could offset lottery losses from Higher odds/Lower Tier payout
ratios games like MegaMillions with games that have much lower odds
and greater payout ratios? Pic 3 for example.

the ability to consistently win in Pic 3 would produce a fund that
would allow me to run wheels with a higher win gaurantee.
increasing my chances of winning a jackpot in a game like
Powerball, or Megamillions.
any prize ratio below 101% accomplishes nothing.

the following are questions that I set out to answer
when I went off on my Pic3 quest.

1)?Are some players better at certain games/states than others?
yes

2)is thier winning just a simple application of statistics?
no

3)The wins that one obtains in one state, are they merley offsets
from the losses of another state?
not always.

4)If the lottery was truly random and systems can not lower
our chances of winning. then why even bother with systems?

nothing is truly random. the systems point out the lack of
randomness in each and every game. it is these very critical
points where we can use our systems to capitalize and gain
an advantage.

I decided to really give the Pic 3 a good look over for the first time.
I began an in depth study of the game. I used the forums, I spoke
with quite a few Pic 3 players, online and offline. I learned a few
different systems from different players and applied them to real
time drawings. I tracked its progress and statistics and dove deep
for patterns and trends.

First I needed to understand the odds.
you can find my conclusion in my 9th entry of this very
blog entitled "Understanding and Overcoming the statistical odds"

I began with the prediction statistics. Predictions/Top Predictors.
I needed to know who are the players in my targeted state
with the highest winning percentages.
I discovered a few frustrating flaws with this approach.

1) the top predictors page gives you the option of viewing
the top 50 most sucessful players of any states Pic 3,4,5,6 or
other games.

problem: you may see a players stats really high for your state.
you think to yourself, he's Kicken Ace! problem is you have selected
the correct state, but have the selection on all game types.
you have to be specific. further investigation shows that, this player
has made a small amount of wagers. he has won very little. the winnings
that this person has in one type of game, have offset the losses in
all of the other states games. State Statistics are figured on average
of all the games offered by that particular state. turns out this players
winnings weren't even in the game that you were trying to research.

2) you will often see a player with $10 in wagers and $40
in winnings ranked #1 with a 400.00% lifetime prize ratio.
you think to yourself, that person knows his/her stuff, and
probably has a system that will produce.

problem: the person published a single set of predictions
which in this case hit only once. the player has yet to
produce another set of predictions for the given state.
there is only one reason why someone would do that.
I won't get into it here.
However this,"hit it and quit it" players tactic gives you nothing
to work with, when you are trying to perfect your system.

3) to the left you will see the hot predictors. these
are the top players that have hit within the last 30 days.
the ones that are on "the streak"

problem: this is only a streak, and most of the time
the players were not even targeting the states that
they find themselves at the top of the page of.
for example...
they will often make predictions based on Texas
past drawing history. play the numbers in all states
pic 3 games, and luckly find thier names among
the top predictors of the Lousiana Pic 3.
Hey, I tip my hat to there accomplishment.
they made the page.
unfortunately they can be very little help when
you are trying to perfect your system.

4) there are players who consistantely post predictions and
win in given states over the course of a long period
of time. these are the players in the highest lifetime prize
ratio list with say 2,000-5,000 in wagers and 6,000 to 12,000 in winnings.

problem: some cater to your desired state, some don't.
however, if you know this in advance you can watch for thier
predictions and cross reference thier pics with your own.

problem: prize ratio's don't tell enough of the story for you to
get a clear picture.

5) the Hit Ratio lists are designed to tell you who hits more often.
it can be a useful tool when properly interpreted.

problem: the list is full of one hit wonders.
you have to keep scrolling down the list.
nothing against these players, but they are not the
type that I knew could help me master the Pic 3.

6) Hit Ratio list can tell you who's hot, and who's not.
like the Prize ratio it features the Hot predictors, those
who have the highest hit ratio in the past 30 days.
and those who have consistantely maintained one
over a lifetime.

problem: did they make that list by catering to that state?
by carefully choosing numbers from the states past history?
or did they make it by pure chance?
are they consistant hitters? or one hit wonders?

these are the questions I asked myself while viewing
the page in search of the players to educate me on
the Pic 3.

West Virginia Pic 3 prize ratio statistic is 462.49%
Ive got 5 pics posted just in case, but after they
play out I probably wont tamper with that stat again.

Western Canada is next on the my list for an attempt
at back in black it is currently standing at 73.38%
954 predictions 4 hits $700 in winnings.
under these circumstances one straight $290 hit
would place the statistic over 100%
back in the black!

Wisconsin is currently at 65.11%
it was in the black earlier last year. I posted my pics in this state longer
than I needed to. been trying to get it back over 100% for the past 2
months with no sucess. the stat keeps dropping. 772 pics without a single hit.
its ticking me off.

Now for the Home State. the one that matters most of course to me
for obvious reasons. this is the one that I play.
before I studied and incorporated a system.

the overall state stat was 27.92%
North Carolina Pic 3 stat was 34.37%

Understanding and Overcoming the statistical odds

"those who don't understand the odds, wont beat them."
Gail Howard

there are 10 sets with 1 combination each of triples.
there are 10 sets with 9 combinations each of doubles.
there are 120 sets with 6 combinations each of singles.

10 sets multiplied by 1 combination each (10x1) =  10 total combinations of triples.
10 sets multiplied by 9 variants (10x9) = 90 total sets of doubles.
90 sets multiplied by 3 combinations each (90x3) = 270 total combinations of doubles.
120 sets multiplied by 6 combinations each (120x6) = 720 total combinations of singles

if we add the total number of singles, doubles and triples then we should come up with
a total of every possible combination in the game.

10+270+720=1000 possible combinations.

on a single bet our odds of winning at pic 3 straight box (having the numbers
match up in exact order) would be 1:1000!

Luckly for us there are other options we can explore and strageties
that can be applied to lower the effects of these odds.

one thing I have learned playing the lottery for over 15 years,
odds don't change. you face the same odds everytime you play no matter
how many tickets you buy, no matter how many draws you enter. however
it is my believe that the effects of these odds do change.

think of a 2 1/2 ton truck that weighs 4,500 pounds.
obviously unless your Superman or have stolen him from Louis Lane
your probably not going to be able to lift the vehicle at a single
bound, manually suspend it in mid air, while changing the oil.
the weight of the truck and the force of gravity makes this method
impossible.

So how do we change the oil? we take it to the local garage with a hydraulic
lift that is capable of producing enough force to overcome the effect of gravity
on our heavily built truck. this allows access to the oil drain and oil filter allowing
the maintainence to be preformed.

If we do not have the funds to take it to a garage, or we do not have access
to a lift. what can we do?
we can simply purchase the oil and filters, get the tools from our personal toolbox
circumvent the trucks weight and planets gravitational forces by crawling under the vehicle.
this also alows access to the oil drain and oil filter allowing for the maintainence to
be preformed.

In both cases the same gravitational force and vehicle weight
had to be dealt with. in both cases the goal of changing the oil
was achieved.

the humanly impossible task of lifting 4,500 lbs, suspending
the truck in mid air while changing the oil was accomplished
by the use of a capable tool.

in the second case scenario, the same impossible task was
preformed by a clever alternative method.

not, in either case was the force of gravity changed
nor the weight of the vehicle altered.

so it is with odds.

I had a friend tell me once, that a person stands a better chance
to be struck by lightning twice than to win the lottery.
It just doesn't happen, he said to me.
I told him to go stand on top of the empire state building
during a thunderstorm while holding a metal rod skyward.

I believe there are things we can do to circumvent/overcome
odds in any given situation.

thats where strageties like boxing wheeling, flipping, flopping,
mirroring, rundowns, workouts, trend and pattern searching all
play an important role in helping us beat the ridiculous odds
and achieve our main goal. that is to cash in a winning ticket!

Venturing off on a Pic 3 Quest

I was never a serious pic 3 player. I always felt that to sacrifice precious study time
from a lottery with a huge jackpot and apply it to a pic 3 game could turn out to be
a costly waste of time. I mean, your not going to get finacially secure by playing pic 3.
In my arrogance I felt that serious Pic 3 players were a little impracticle to say the least.
when I state serious I mean those players that devote hours a week to the game.
studing thier logs, tracking and shifting systems, reading the forums creating charts,
tracking pairs etc. and for the rare few there is the never ending search for the perfect key.

Are some players better at certain games/states than others?
or is thier winning just a simple application of statistics?
The wins that one obtains in one state are they merly offsets
from the losses of another state?
If the lottery was truly random and systems could not lower
our odds, everyones win percentage would be the same.
all the way across the board.
this is not the case.

I was trying to set out to discover if one could use the winnings of
an "easy" Pic 3 to fully fund playing the real lotteries with huge
tell your boss to "take this job" jackpots.

For the next 30 days I was on a mission.
what I discovered completely blew my mind. I
gained an overdue and deserved respect for those
who play this game. I learned quite a bit more than
I ever expected to. I do also believe I am going to
become a better lottery player because of this experience.

Win at home cut your loses on the road

I have been targeting certain states in an atempt to bring the
states overall prize ratio over 100%. I realize this may be an impossible
task. After all, if this was so easy, lotteryplayers wouldn't need jobs.

I am trying to answer the age old question. Are some players
better at certain games/states than others? or is thier winning just a simple
application of statistics?

I know that there is a certain expected win ratio. but how does one explain
my Arizona stat? where I have posted 1,038 predictions and never hit. not
even once in an 8.9 years.

time to cut my loses in Arizona and move on. I will eventualy come back
and try it again.

Oklahoma

North Carolina
when I started this quest North Carolina's prize ratio was 27.92%
began to work on the pic 3/4's in order to raise my home states overall prize ratio.

I carelessly allowed my pics to run out and as a result of my oversight I missed out
on three North Carolina hits.
Sept 07: 276 for $40, 276 for $40 and  762 for $290

Nice set of hits here was a big step toward my goal in N.C.

Sept 08 LottoAce North Carolina Pick 4 Evening 12-Way Box 2-2-9-6 2-2-6-9 $200

oversight/bad stragety cost me another $290 hit by not fully boxing in 590.
the pic 4 hit of 2269 (boat registration#) would have put me back in the black
on the pic 4 had I have knocked the $2700 out of the park.
that would have put the Pic 4 and possible the entire state's stats
back in black.

I realize though with a pic 4 that it is not realistic for me to reduce my
numbers down to one set every draw and play all possible combinations
to pick up the straight.

North Carolina's overall Prize ratio is 37.82%

N.C. Stat increased by 9.9%

were the hits in North Carolina and Indiana the week before just an offset of win probability
caused by the excessive losses in Arizona and Nebraska?

or did I win more often in North Carolina and Indiana because of the effort
I put forth by anaylising charts, and reading the forums?

In any case I still have yet to figure out how to effectively use pic3/4
to offset jackpot Lottery loses.
wouldn't it be great if one could use the winnings to fully fund
playing the bigger lotteries?

Entry #7

Bang for your Buck Mixing it up. creating a Cashball Jackpot offset

working on developing a way to offset the losses caused by
higher odds lotteries with larger number pools such as Megamillions and Powerball.
I am going to ocasionaly and strategicaly play the Pic 3 and Pic 4 games with high prize ratio payouts and lower odds.
I hope to be able to at least keep the losses down to 40%. this would create a rolling lotto pool pot. in turn
it would allow me to incorporate wheels into my weekly play. increasing my odds of winning a jackpot.
Since I am on a budget, my only other option would be to not play and save my set lottery fund amount for future drawings
it would be just my luck to not play and my numbers come in. been there done that. got mad burnt the t-shirt!

Predictions were limited to 10 pics per draw.

All of these hits only equate to a Total of $245.

Notice the pathetic payouts/odd ratio on these lotteries. its pathetic. its so sickening that I don't
even want to do the math. most prizes in cashball games are $1-$5 per $1 play. some like megamillions have
a multiplier option and can be $2 play. Lucky4Life and Powerball are both $2 play min lotteries. Powerball
can be a $3 play! Lottery officials really think they are encouraging gaming when all you get for beating 1/250 + odds is
$2 for your $1 play, or $4 for your $2 play. If it weren't for the jackpot I would'nt play these games at all. I already
have sworn off the MegaMillion and Powerball because of the number pool size. For me, if I can't win some of my money back
to keep it interesting, or I can't consistently put up 2-3 numbers per draw (even if I don't get them all in the same line)
I'm not playing. Powerball and Megamillions have IMHO gotten too big for their britches. There are other Jackpot lotteries.
I don't need them. I don't need 500 million dollars. I would be just fine with 2-3 million, or $1000 a day for life.

Obviously your not going to get rich off of Pic 3 and Pic 4's.
One thing is for sure the payout/odds ratio is much better than a Cashball game.
.50 cent bet can get you $500 in pic 3! and $5000 in a Pic 4!!...
other prizes like $40, $80, $290, $330, $2600, $3200 etc...
all for .50 cent to $1 play. Thats bang for your buck!!

Entry #6

Improving on statistics N.C. boost, Indiana back in black!

I always payed attention to my statistics. I always use past history for a cashball game like the Powerball, Megamillions, Lucky4Life, Kentucky Cash etc. with the pic 3 and pic 4 I got lazy. I posted pics for years just using one step. it was easier. unfortunately I think my statistics paid for my lack of effort. now I'm trying to bring them up a little at a time. state by state game by game. I don't know if this will work, but I'm going to try anyway.
right now I'm focusing on the pic 3 in the following states. Indiana, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Arizona, Colorado. Nebraska
these are the only states I'm focusing pic 3 on. the idea is to get the statistic back in yellow and quit playing that game and move on to the next state.
I picked the games in which I think I could come back the quickest. nothing is easy on lottopost, but some things are easier I think.

I started off with a hit in N.C.
Aug 20 LottoAce North Carolina Pick 3 Daytime Straight + 6-Way Box 7-2-3     7-2-3 $290
Nice hit, but it did little to improve my North Carolina lifetime Prize Ratio Statistic of: 38.35.

I didn't record Indiana so I had to subract the current years hits and winnings and refigure the stat.
turns out I began on Aug 19 with Indiana and a 81.16 pic 3 lifetime prize ratio.

Aug 25 LottoAce Indiana Daily 4 Evening 24-Way Box 0-5-3-8  3-8-0-5 $100
A hit like the above helps the over all state statistic.

Aug22 LottoAce Indiana Daily 3 Evening Straight + 6-Way Box0-7-1  0-7-1 $290

the above hit is a step in the right direction but I needed more to get Indiana back in the yellow. so I kept playing.
this time I reconfigured my preditions, and started boxing in set numbers.

Aug 31 LottoAce Indiana Daily 3 Evening 6-Way Box 6-0-1 0-6-1 $40
Aug 31 LottoAce Indiana Daily 3 Evening 6-Way Box 0-1-6 0-6-1 $40
Aug 31 LottoAce Indiana Daily 3 Evening 6-Way Box 1-6-0 0-6-1 $40
Aug 31 LottoAce Indiana Daily 3 Evening 6-Way Box 1-0-6 0-6-1 $40
Aug 31 LottoAce Indiana Daily 3 Evening Straight + 6-Way Box 0-6-1  0-6-1 $290

Sept 01 LottoAce Indiana Daily 3 Midday 6-Way Box  6-9-2 9-2-6 $40
Sept 01 LottoAce Indiana Daily 3 Midday 6-Way Box  2-9-6 9-2-6 $40
Sept 01 LottoAce Indiana Daily 3 Midday  6-Way Box  6-2-9 9-2-6 $40
Sept 01 LottoAce Indiana Daily 3 Midday Straight + 6-Way Box 9-2-6 9-2-6 $290

Now thats a decent week! I think even some of the better pic 3 players on this site would tip their hat
to those hits!

this brought my total lifetime Pic 3 Indiana prize ratio statistic to 113.29

again I got lazy and posted the pics for consecutive draws. luckly it won't bring the stat down below 100 so I'm
good.

I will not post any preditions for the Indiana Pic 3 untill I get the chance to raise other states
Prize Ratio Statistic.

at this point its time to move on and focus now on North Carolina, Oklahoma, Arizona, Nebraska, and Colorado.
as planned.

Bananza Challenge Final Day

I forgot to post the other two numbers in my blog, that I had posted in my forum. also I added
11 in the middle of the week when I noticed a trend.

Saturdays performance Statistics.

I hit 5/8 lottery Cashballs for an accuracy rate of 62.50%

That brings my stats for the week up from 12/25 with an accuracy rate of 48%
to 17/33 with an accuracy rate of 51.51%

I missed my target goal of 65% thats disappointing (it was the figure I came up with
when I first posted about my Cashball system).

made a lot of mistakes this week, and because I was in a hurry to get my numbers up,
I overlooked some things that I normally would not have. all in all,
I believe I have provided the data I needed to support my claim.
so I'm pleased with the results.

Entry #4

Cashball Bananza Results

successfully predicted 12 bonus numbers in 25 draws from 12
different lotteries.

48% accuracy.

Not bad considering that the predictions were made 2-5 draws in advance.
and that some of these lotteries I had never researched before and hadn't
been following.

I'm happy with the results. they could have been better but I did not include
Saturdays draw which contains an additional 8 draws! statistically my accuracy rate
is a little lower this week than normal however, at least now I got a real good baseline
established to work from.

Putting it all on the line

Even with all the research I have done, I'm still a little nervous about going public
with it. I know that to better contribute to this site I must take a chance and test
my skills and prove myself sometimes. it took a lot of courage to start my own
forum, I don't like to be wrong, and I don't want to be the laughing stock of lottery post.
however, as I have learned with this game, you will be wrong more than you are correct.
I am posting my predictions for the bonus balls all across the US and at the end of
the week I will see how I preformed. hopefully someone will get something out of my
new forum, make some money, or better yet still take just enough to put them over
the top and Win the Big One!!...That would be a Contribution I could be proud of.
who knows maybe I might learn something in the process.

Most probable to hit in majority of states (what I would play if I was going to run one wheel
for all cashball games).

CashBalls are > No Balls

I never was a pick 3 or 4 player, my stats on a cash 5 would make
anyone laugh, and as for a pick 6 game well, I am truly lacking.

My one true strength in lottery games is jackpot/bonus ball type games.
statistically it makes no sense that I loose so often in a game that the odds
are so little and yet win in games that the odds are so great.
which adds to my proof that the lottery is not purely random.

I grew up in a state that didn't have a lottery. I know, a state with out
a lottery; is like a ballpark without peanuts no matter how good the hotdogs
are you still feel like your missing something.

The first lottery I played was the BigGame long before it was in my
home state as the MegaMillions, I had experience with the Powerball whenever
someone would make a trip south. but for the most part didn't track it,
but until I found lotterypost I was unable to play games like
Florida's MegaMoney, Kentucky Cashball, Kansas SuperCash, Texas Two Step, etc...

I have finally finished my experiment. as of today 04-23-11 I posted
5861 picks with 496 hits and $4,481 in winnings for a prize ratio of 75.55
in specific games with a bonus ball.

funny thing is I have never yet on this sight hit anything remotely solid.
I have never hit a jackpot, $250,000 second prize, $10.000 third prize or even
as much as a $1000, not even one single $100 dollar hit in all my 496 hits on
Lotterypost yet despite this annoying and unbelievable streak of bad luck, I still
have managed to hold on to 15th spot on the Top Predictors ladder for Other Games.

One solid hit would put me over the top. just one.

The secret to my success; I have invented a system
in which allows me to narrow a bonus ball to 5 numbers with 65%
accuracy. and consistently hit 2-3 string numbers nearly every draw.
