No he didn't. But that's ok. He didn't do anything if you check your FACTS. The National Debt is and most likely 100% will increase by roughly a half of a trillion dollars $$$ over this year because that is the size of the predicted budget deficit. Check your facts.

Unfortunately we know what spending by previous presidents, most noted Obama, has done to the national debt.

However it's refreshing to have a president cutting down on wasteful bureaucracy. Most likely his cuts are offset by interest but at least he's working on a real economic boost instead of "jobs creation/jobs bill" which mean their salaries will be paid by taxpayers.

hi konane, to be fair to your point there's more than one way to look at a rising budget deficit. The "fairest" way to view President Obama's contribution to the national debt is at a number of 983 billion. That's a big difference from the 9 trillion that a lot of people are finger pointing Obama with. He also took on the job when the country was in a great recession. I don't necessarily agree with the idea of just printing money out of thin air but that was his choice. There were many factors that also include mandatory governmental spending that contribute to the national debt. But if you analyze just Obama's programs and contributions alone, the number stands at 983 billion for his 8 years in office. And he increased it by just about the same as George W. Bush did. The one that really tanked the deficit was Ronald Reagan. The National deficit is not easy to understand and I am by no means an expert. I also do not know why Obama's military spending was so high. But it's not most notably Obama. Just like the Affordable Care Act as it should be called and not Obamacare, President Obama should not be a scapegoat for others to get away blameless.

While I do agree with you on the recession, I Disagree with you on the Affordable Care Act. This was Obama's from the inception, No One Else's. The Democrats pushed This ith such a tenacity, they themselves didn't even know what the cost was going to be. It was then not called the Affordable Care Act, hence "Obamacare" He, and He alone is responsible for this tragedy, and should be the "scapegoat" along with other Democrats who pushed this along.!
