Do you like Westerns? I haven't read any in a long time, but used to enjoy some of 'em.

Ever heard of William Johnstone? Pretty good writer, a distant cousin of mine.

I should have added that he passed away some years back.

I do not read westerns at the time. May look into them at a future date.

I never have heard of this author and will see if our excellent local library has any of hers.

After reading a bit more about her, she writes "history" books. (hence the "historical". Duh on me!) Other than (auto) biographies, and a few "I wuz there" war books, I guess I haven't read much "real history" since I got out of school. I have read several "faction" novels, the "fact+fiction" types of books, but those sometimes bend the history to suit the protagonist's story.
