More proof the Democrats value and are working more for illegals [hint: votes] more than American citizens. If this were true there would not be the big controversy around the citizenship question.

House Democrats are planning to “immediately” investigate the reason President Donald Trump wants American citizens counted on the upcoming 2020 Census.
In March, President Donald Trump’s administration announced they would put the citizenship question back on the census. It has not been included since 1950. For seven decades, all residents living in the United States have been counted on the census but have not been asked whether or not they are American citizens, making it impossible for the federal government to know the size of the citizen population versus the immigrant population.

Now, as Democrats are preparing to be the majority in the House after the midterm elections, Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) — who will chair the House Oversight Committee — told Reuters he will investigate why the Trump administration has put the citizenship question back on the 2020 Census. ...."

I worked for the Census back in 1990 while I went back to school. It was a great part-time gig, perfect to fit around my class schedule, but we did some of the most baffling things. I've been on several blowouts on drilling rigs, stepped on a rattlesnake and once told my ex that she DID look fat in that dress, but one of the times I've been the most scared I've ever been is when we went to Amarillo to help them count the homeless. I told my supervisor after that first night that I wasn't crawling up under any more bridges or overpasses unless I had a pistol with me.

I could go into details, but to make a long story short, we attempted to count a LOT of people twice. (and I think that was subtly encouraged)

I bet that if you took the final Census figures, deducted 25% from the total, that would probably give a better estimate of actual American citizens in the country.
