Yep,
He had the guts to take Chrysler out of the hole.
I almost bought some Chrysler stock when it was in the dumps. I think it was around $3.00 per share. Went up to about $70.00 a share when I quit looking at its rise.
Should have went with my instincts and bought some.
I think that was in about the mid 1970s.

That's the story of my life, JAP. I sure was tempted to buy some Amazon stock back in '97 and a thousand bucks invested then would be worth well over a million now. Things balance out, though...my ex wanted us to invest a big bonus I got at work; gold was over a thousand bucks/oz and climbing, going all the way to over 2 grand, then plummeted. I wanted to invest into gold back in 2000 when it had dropped down to about $400 oz and now regret that....but I didn't have nearly enough money to make a significant investment.

I've always admired Iacocca, but to be honest, I thought he was already dead.   Always loved Mustangs, although those early models have a horrible flaw with the gas tanks being shoved into the passenger compartment in a rear end collision.
