There's a problem with time travel as most people know, perceive and understand it.
It is not possible as we know, perceive and understand it.
It has to do with the Continum-Instum construct of our Universe.

JADELottery they said we would never cross the globe in a ship because it was flat. They said people would never fly yet today there are all kinds of flying equipment. They said we would never get to another planet but we have and will. One day they will understand the laws of gravity and physics and we will travel without any kind of vehicle. We will step through a portal.

As for time travel never say never one day we will do that too.

What you've said might get the time traveler believers all warm and fuzzy inside, but it does not lend credence to the proof that time travel is possible. Typically, I find that those who like to dream of time travel or invent strange and elaborate theories about how it might be done are those who regret something in their lives or wish they had or could do something for themselves that works to their advantage. Example, "I wish I could travel to the future and see tomorrow's lottery numbers." Also, you used a common A-B Analogy Proof Idiom. It's a, "Look see!", defense most people use to prove something that hasn't really been proved.

The A-B Analogy Proof Idiom goes something like this:

Event A and event B have similar characteristics and properties with similar theories that lead to a common conclusion. Event A has had all the related proofs worked out and it's theory proven to be true. Event B has not been worked or worked completely to provide proof that the theory is true and any conclusions that are derived can not be said to be true. The A-B Analogy Proof Idiom states that because event A and event B are so closely related that B's theory must be true without proof.

The A-B Analogy Proof Idiom can be helpful in giving a direction on how to work the proof, but it can not be the proof itself. It can be very dangerous and misleading when used incorrectly and is used incorrectly most of the time. Many different people, groups of people, organizations, institutions and governments utilize this to show proof where none exist.

Believing it might be true is only the beginning, now it's time to prove it or move it.

It is only a matter of time.
