A couple of points could be debated.

She lied about too many things back during the Gore Campaign for me to believe a word she says now.
Maybe she's changed but she was a nasty, vicious, mean-spirited, hateful liar back then.

I believe assistance from the American people should be a safety net, not a life-long hammock.

Democrats have changed it from emergency assistance to a lifestyle choice for the lazy.

The whole meaning of "poor" has been changed.

How does having a roof over your head, food to eat, heat, air conditioning, a big-screen tv, a cell phone and a car or two constitute being "poor"? Half the world would love to be "poor" in America.

Call me crazy but I think there's something wrong when I see the lady in front of me pay for her groceries with food stamps that I was forced to chip in on, get into a newer luxury car in the parking lot.

Charity should rightfully carry a stigma with it and it should be run by charities and churches, not by big government. The only problem though is Conservatives would carry the whole burden because Democrats are notoriously cheap with charities and they hate churches.

The American people (Conservatives anyway) are the most caring, compassionate and charitable in the world. We can take care of our fellow man when he needs help without the incompetence of big government getting involved.

The scammers might have to get jobs though.

Also elderly Black American know a whole lot more than you about the history of slavery. They lived through the worst times in America. You have only what bias textbooks have told you. You were taught the bigots version of American History.
