4 million dollars?
Inadequate water supply.
What was the house made out of for the fire to spread like that?
No sprinkler system.
Was there fire walls in dividing areas?

I do not know when the chopper got there but looking at the vid and equal stages of burning could be arson. That house is spread out on a large ground area.

When building a house, never insulate the walls with gasoline-soaked rags.
