A few bad apples like this idiot ruins it for all the good cops out there.

The problem is that there aren't just a few bad one's out there, there's LOTS of 'em. As citizens, those that turn a blind eye just because they're cops only NEGATIVELY REINFORCE the power they already have. People have to be willing to set examples for these bad cops by sending them away for a LONG TIME. This way, others will think SEVERAL TIMES before doing something so STUPID. Unjustified shootings and killing would be where I'd start first. For what it's worth, great post Drenick1.
