Oklahoma Lottery announces new Pick 5-style game

Oklahoma Lottery

Oklahoma lottery officials announced a new game will start that's "similar to Powerball", although the game appears to have much more in common with Pick 5-style games.

The game requires players to match five numbered balls and those that do will win $35,211, or $25,000 after taxes.

Lottery officials are hoping the new game will prevent a drop-off in sales after the first full year of the lottery.

The Lottery Commission is estimating sales and other earnings will bring in more than $400 million in the next fiscal year and provide education with at least $124 million.

Five numbers out of how many? Does the Oklahoma Lottery site have any details?

Sounds like a 5 out of 29 matrix.

what about pick 4????

they'll be just like california and texas and not offer it.

LOTTOMIKE's avatarLOTTOMIKE

a 5/29 matrix would be easy to hit.wish i could play if it is offered!

Seems like Jim Scroggins is bringing back the old Show Me 5 from MO.

Hopefully without the computer picking the numbers.

I wonder if there will be a rollover if nobody wins?

Where is the remaining $276 million is going to be spent on?

Hopefully without the computer picking the numbers.

That is what I was waiting for Todd...the other shoe to drop. I saw the heading and thought time to see if the computer drawings has reached into OK yet...unfortunately it will happen...

Jimmy, the old ShowMe 5 game had 30 balls, so that is a strong possibility. $25,000 max for jackpot, taxes paid. They still are here. 5/44 game gets $50,000 max but lower tiers can pay up to $750 if you get 4 out of 5.

Best of Luck All,

Bryan  :)

BSthis is what i think of computer drawings....

top payout with five picks is rather miserly. Not a great incentive to play...

you're all in luck, its gonna be a ball and machine draw. Smartplay reports on their site they own their gems for pick 3 and they own a criterion.
