There were no Powerball jackpot winners Saturday but an incredible 1,051,504 prizes were paid out for a total of more than $8.5 million worth of winnings in America's Game.
Because no one correctly matched all six numbers in Saturday's drawing the jackpot will grow to an estimated $177 million.
The cash option for the Wednesday, October 6 drawing will be an estimated $96.8 million.
The numbers drawn were: 2, 13, 29, 32, 35 and the Powerball was 4. The Power Play multiplier was 4.
Thirteen players correctly matched the 5 white numbers and won $100,000. The tickets were sold in Arizona, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Pennsylvania (4), Tennessee (2), US Virgin Islands, Vermont, and Wisconsin. One additional player from Pennsylvania not only matched the 5 white numbers but also purchased the Power Play option. By doing so, their winnings were multiplied by 4 for a total prize worth $400,000.
Sdventy-eight players matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $5,000. Seven additional players not only matched 4+1, but also purchased the Power Play option, giving them a total win of $20,000.
More than 100,000 winning Powerball plays were multiplied by 4. Winners were able to do that by purchasing the Power Play option for one dollar. With Power Play you can multiply your winnings, except for the jackpot, from 2 to 5 times. At the beginning of each drawing a wheel is spun to select that night's multiplier.
This current jackpot run started with the Wednesday, August 18 drawing. The drawing on Saturday night was the 14th consecutive draw without being hit.
Players purchased more than $41 million in tickets between Wednesday and Saturday night.
The lotteries sold more than $2.2 billion in Powerball tickets in FY04. That translates into more than $660 million for worthwhile state projects.

If there are no winners this Wednesday, Saturday's jackpot will easily roll up to over $200M.

will probably be 220-230 next roll and 300-320 after that.
more than likely someone will hit in the next 2 drawings since both mega and powerball have had great difficulty breaking the 300 million mark since 2002
so nice to know that the USVI is finnally starting to make a name for themselves.i hope the winner is either form the USVI, CO, TN, ME, VT, or ND.
USVI already has a reputation as being a tax haven. I'm sure there are many well-to-do people living there already.

I would just like to see one of the multi-state games finally break 300 - i wonder if it can still happen.
The PB can only increase by a maximum of $25mill per roll over. So the most it will go up to is $202mill.

(b) The prize pool percentage allocated to the set prizes (the cash prizes of $100,000 or less) shall be carried forward to subsequent draws if all or a portion of it is not needed to pay the set prizes awarded in the current draw. If the total of the set prizes awarded in a drawing exceeds the percentage of the prize pool allocated to the set prizes, then the amount needed to fund the set prizes awarded shall be drawn from the following sources, in the following order: (i) the amount allocated to the set prizes and carried forward from previous draws, if any; (ii) an amount from the set prize reserve account, if available, not to exceed twenty-five million dollars ($25,000,000) per drawing
no that's if it hits the maximum jackpot which is 339 million - the difference goes to the second prizes (a very lame set up).
The prize has gone up by more than 25 mill since the rule changes in 10/9/2002. jack whitiker ( or what ever his name is) can vouch that the pot has gone up more than 25 mil after the rule changes. Its refering to the largest pot powerball had before the rule change on 8/25/2001 - 295 million. the next largest pot could only be
320 but it was only 314. so the next jackpot can only be 25 million more than that or 339 million
also if you read that rule it's refering to the maximum total payout for the set prizes (100k, etc) not the jackpot. read part 6.8 to see the grand prize limitations. there you will see it says "When the Grand Prize reaches a new high annuitized amount" it's limited to a 25 million gain - now that's 339 million. which i doubt will happen
