I agree JP, which is why this new rating feature will be blind to what game a person is interested in or what forum they like to post in. Thanks for your comments.

You could possibly also have a rating of a poster by topic. There are many knowelable players in different topics where they may not be in other topics. There are some that mostly post in jackpot games, pick 3 ,pick 4, etc JP <br

I knew that creating a new rating system would make some people nervous. My advice is to be patient and see how it turns out. There will be tweaks and adjustments over time.

i don't normally post anything except in the blog section on an infrequent basis. I do respond to some of the post other people put up but i don't do many original posts. i have been here awhile so that would basically keep me as a scrub or rookie. i do come in here most every day but not a big poster. just some comments and not questions about us folks who like to look and not post all the time.

Why don't you just tack on the new rating to what we already have? That leaves a benchmark for those accustomed to how it was, and adds a new interpretaton also.

are you dividing the number of days a person has been here as a member divided by the number of days they post.it would seem that if you did that it would show you just how often they post.if someone joined last year they would automatically get a poor rating even if they posted every day because they weren't here the first five years.

For those who are concerned about their rating, this new rating will encourage greater regularity in posting on a daily basis, but the interpretation of these ratings is highly subjective. The ratings won't necessarily be a good indication of a member's knowledge or the quality of posts submitted. LP has some members who rarely post, but their posts are always valuable contributions. LP also has some members who basically submit a lot of junk posts with great frequency. How about coming up with a rating of individual posts? Over time, a member's average post rating might be a better indication of which members are making the most meaningful contributions to the site.... [ More ]

cannot learn. good idea tho. one example is the shift method came out years ago by the fellow selling thunderbolt. people copying old ideas and changing names. like you say agree or not ,,,by the way happy belated birthday...himself...

that should cut down on people occupied with trying to keep up with top 100,50 and 25 posts.i like the idea myself.get rid of the number of posts each individual has and have them be rated instead.sounds good
